Customer Review: Mild Taste, Reasonable Texture

I've just started eating these in the last 3 days. I've tried several of bars and found most of them too awful to finish. This includes some of the other Luna Bars (s'mores, lemon) and a couple of the CLIF bars as well. What I like about Nutz Over Chocolate is the fact that the taste is relatively mild and pleasing, and the texture is easy to handle and eat (not too crumbly, not to gross-looking, not unpleasant once they are in your mouth).
Aside from the fact that they are "made for women", and I'm a guy...I really can't find anything negative to say about them. Best part? I get a good 2-3 hours of feeling full on a consumption of only 170 calories. I guess we'll see, but I have a feeling that I'll really grow to love them over time. That's my beef with a lot of these diet products...they don't have to "taste great", but if you can make them nice and mild like this particular flavor, they go down easy and get the job done. In this case, since the taste is somewhat pleasing as well, that's a bonus. I'll be recommending them to my friends.

I love the Luna Bars! I bought them on sale at a local food chain along with 5 other brands looking for a quick bar to have for lunch/breakfast on the go. Most of them tasted pretty much like I expected, kind of bland health foody, but the Luna bars were actually good. Not quite like a candy bar but very similar to a crunchy rice crispy cookie. It had a pleasant just sweet enough flavor and just enough chocolate to make it feel like I was eating something I shouldn't be. It also did a good job of filling me up, I was not hungry for
hours after eating one.
They were so good I went back and bought a bunch for my son who lives on fast food due to his work schedule. He liked them as much as I did. His favorite was the lemon which I have not tried yet. I will be ordering a bunch of them from Amazon to start off the school year. (I love ordering food from Amazon, I live in a rural area and I can find things I have to go to the city for and it costs less then I would pay elsewhere).

At 60 yrs old, I'm just beginning to experiment with different types of bars that are a healthier choice. I learned several good lessons when ordering the Luna Bars. Not all tastebuds are equal!! To me they had the strangest taste of any bar I've tried. To make matters worse, the order got doubled somehow, but I didn't have the heart to send them back since it was my fault. I will take more time to read ALL of the best reviews. I often do this to prevent the kind of problem that happened. I'd have to look and see what I paid for them, but if anyone is interested, I'd make you a deal on a box of these Luna Bars. A pioneer in the nutrition bar field, the Luna bar was the first nutrition bar that is formulated for women's needs: lower calorie content, more chocolate and higher composition of B vitamins. The Nutz over Chocolate bar is delicious. It's crispy and it never hurts that it's partly dipped into chocolate. It's also cool that from the very beginning, by buying this bar, you not only get good nutrition, you are also indirectly contributing to the Breast Cancer Fund. I eat one of these for breakfast every morning and it feels like I'm eating a candy bar. I love these and haven't got bored of the flavour. I've tried the S'Mores Luna bar and it tasted the same, but I thought it had an odd smell which put me off so I just stick to the Nutz flavour. When I eat one of these I feel like I'm satisfying my tastebuds and doing something good for my body since they are made with good ingredients and are fortified with many vitamins and minerals.
