This brace fits well, provides support, and is not thick and restrictive like neoprene based braces. I was wearing this brace when I got off balance while playing basketball. I came down on my left leg (the brace was on this side) and suffered a severe twist as I got my foot stuck under me and fell backwards on it. I firmly believe that if I had not had this brace on I would have ended up with major ligament damage and under the knife again- I had my ACL replaced 20 years ago.
