Customer Review: Works Great - Smell Subsides

Seems to be a fine water bottle. The smell can be calmed down. I made a paste with baking soda, spread it all over the rubber and let it sit for 12 hours. After rinsing, I let it air out outside. It helped immensely. Actually, the first night we used it before treating, the smell was pervasive. Now its just present enough so you know its there. Works fine!Customer Review: Rubber Comfort

I don't know why I can't find these at my local drug store. My family loves a nice warm bottle on a cold night, and these work well for a reasonable price. The texture on the sides allows good heat transfer with reduced change of discomfort when too warm. Only concern is the very strong stench of rubber. This bottle is well made and durable. It's important to use a water bottle that won't leak, a problem I've had with other brands. The only drawback is a strong rubber smell for the first week or so of use. The odor seems to be dissipating with time and is not really a problem compared with other brands which also can smell a bit.Customer Review: Horrible SMELL

The smell of the rubber is horrible. I had to throw both of the bottles (one still in box) away because the petroleum smell was so toxic. I tried wrapping it in a large bath towel and everything that it came in contact with smelled of the toxic smell. I had to wash everything. Would not recommend this product.Customer Review: bad smell

I ended up throwing it away because of the strong smell. There is no way I would let me kids take that into their bed and have them sniff the chemicals.
The material and overall quality is OK for the price, but the smell really defeats the product as something you want to keep close to your body.
