This was exactly what I was looking for - a great, sturdy water bottle that keeps the bed warm throughout the night! And don't worry about the rubber-y smell, that goes away in just a couple of days. I have not used the water bottles. I brought them as Christmas Gifts, I made water bottle covers for them. At Christmas my son started talking about how grandmother used to put a water bottle in his bed when he was little.
I filled it with water to test it out and there was no leaking.

The product arrived on the day of Christmas Eve! Amazon did a great job of shipping fast even I didn't expect it. I am very satisfied with the function of this product, except the strong smell. I bought this hot water bottle to use in bed. The first time it leaked was after I had set it on the floor at at a friend's. I thought maybe it was a fluke. Then the worst happened. I got myself, a friend and her two young children Mabis hot water bottles. Fabulous way on cold nights to stay warm and cozy in bed. Her kids love it and it's become a winter night bedtime ritual. There's been no leakage and it stays warm till morning. Everyone should have one.
