I have never written an endorsement for a product before, but because I know there are many parents out there who feel a bit confused about what to do about their child's nighttime wetting, I wanted to write and let you know that this product worked amazingly well for our 7 year old daughter. She had been in pull ups since she was 2 1/2 and had only had sporadic nights dry. We tried everything but, like many others have noted, she was a very, very deep sleeper. We tried the Malem and within 2 weeks she was completely dry at night; within 3 weeks, she was out of pullups and has been out ever since (about 2 months now) without one accident. It somehow re-programed her brain so that she learned how to hold her pee through the night. I would recommend this to anyone out there who is struggling with what the best thing to do for their child who wets at nighttime. My only complaint is the price -- it seems very high for the relatively simple structure of the product, but I would buy it again at this price for the benefits it has brought my daughter.Customer Review: Why did I wait so long???????? I bought this for my 11 year old son. The first time it went off he shot up three feet in the air out of a dead sleep! I have always had trouble waking him up to go in the middle of the night. One time he walked into the closet, that's what a heavy sleeper he is. For years we tried everything, all kinds of rewards and punishments. No drinking after 6pm. Going before bed, and waking him up in the middle of the night. Nothing helped. After years of people telling me he would grow out of it, including his doctor, I finaly got an alarm. It realy works! It reprograms the brain to wake up before you wet. We noticed a huge difference after two weeks. I think it's important to get the ultimate alarm because of the diffrent tones and vibrations and light. It's scary, just what they need to wake them up. Also, get the book Seven steps to nighttime dryness. It explains so much. I made my son read it to. I feel so bad. I should have gotten this a long time ago, but my son had to suffer because I'm so cheep. Don't make the same mistake with your kid.Customer Review: Amazing

We bought this alarm for our 7 year old son. He's a very deep sleeper and has never been able to stay dry overnight. I was content to wait and let him outgrow bedwetting but it started to bother him when his 4 year old sister started asking why he still needed pull-ups. The manual says that it could take 10-13 weeks to work but I'm here to tell you it doesn't NECESSARILY take that long! My son had a dry night after 4 days!!!!It's been over two weeks now and he has been dry every night. We put pull-ups over his underwear to eliminate mid-night sheet changes at first but after the first week, no more pull-ups. After a second week of being dry we stopped putting the alarm on him. We are on day 5 of no alarm or pull-ups and he has stayed dry. I would not have believed it if I hadn't seen it myself, but this alarm really works. We didn't buy the books or use a behavior chart either because our son was motivated enough without them. Don't put off buying this alarm especially if you have an older bedwetter, they'll thank you!Customer Review: Great Bedwetting monitor and it works!

My son is 5 1/2 and never had a dry night before the Malem monitor. It went off the first night three times and each time my son was able to stop urinating and finish in the toliet with only a small wet spot on his underwear. The next night it only went off twice and the third night it went off once. Since that time he has been completely dry and either waking up on his own to go to the bathroom or sleeping through the night but waking up totally dry. We are almost to the end of the second week and the alarm hasn't gone off in 11 days. I am was in total shock I thought because my son was such a deep sleeper and had soaking wet pull ups every morning that this monitor may take awhile, but it worked rapidily. I wasn't in favor of starting any sort of training because my pediatrician said to give him time and he would grow out of it, but my son was so insistent and motivated to wake up dry that I decided to try the Malem monitor. Best decision we made. My son is really proud of himself. It is worth the money!Customer Review: It really works!!!

After doing a lot of my own research, I bought a Malem bedwetting alarm for my 5-1/2 year old son, who was simply sleeping too deeply to wake up if he wet the bed at night. This was something he wanted--he didn't want to wear pullups anymore. Within 2-3 weeks he was having several dry nights and after about 6 weeks, he went 14 nights in a row without wetting--SUCCESS! We combined the use of the alarm with some of the great ideas in the book, Seven Steps to Nighttime Dryness: A Practical Guide for Parents of Children with Bedwetting by Renee Mercer. A year or two later, when my daughter expressed interest in staying dry at night, we began using the alarm with her. She was only four and a half, but it worked even faster. We started seeing dry nights in less than a week, and by the third week, she was completely dry every night. I simply can't recommend this product enough. I don't know why every pediatrician's office doesn't know about them and tell all of their patients about them!
