This product worked for our 7-year-old son. The first few nights, it was like having a newborn in the house; we were up with him a few times each night, helping him to the bathroom and changing his underwear while he was still bleary-eyed and half asleep. (The alarm would sound, he would wake, and he would finish going in the bathroom.) Then, he simply stayed dry one night. And then another. And another. The instructions recommend using the alarm until 2 full weeks of dryness have been achieved. Our son would get close to the 2 week mark, have an accident (and be woken by the alarm), and then we would start over again, trying to make it to two weeks. All in all, we used it for about 5 or 6 weeks. The vast majority of that time, he was dry through the whole night, but used the alarm, just to be sure. Since then--and that was a full year ago--he has been dry every night. Amazing. Truly a product I wish we had tried earlier, while we were waiting for him to "grow out of it".Customer Review: tried everything else, but only this worked!

We read the books, limited liquids but nothing worked. We decided to give the bed wetting alarm a shot because I had heard good things regarding alarms. My son is 7.5 yrs and we knew it was time to get serious about this. According to the product's manual it said it takes on average 10 to 11 weeks for success, but I'm happy to say after 4 weeks we had no more wet nights. This alarm is much more expensive then other alarms, but I bought this one because it vibrates and also beeps when the child starts to wet. In addition it's really easy to use. No sewing involved like in some of the cheaper versions. This one just clipped onto his underware and that was it. To make it even easier in the beginning when we first started we had our son clip the alarm to his underware and then put a "Goodnight" pull up over that so the only clean up was the underpants. It worked like a charm and it was well worth the money not only for us but of course for our son.Customer Review: "I love my alarm, Mom!"

Our son had never had a dry night before we bought him this alarm, and when he reached his 8th birthday we knew we needed to do something. The alarm is not a magic bullet; you really need to buy a book and develop a plan before embarking on what will most likely be an long-term program. If you have an older, more motivated child, I would purchase the Mercer book. The Bennett book is more fun and detailed, with strategies for younger kids. We also purchased waterproof pads to go on top of the sheets - these are perfect for quick middle-of-the-night changes.
It took seven weeks for our son to begin having dry nights, and they were an exhausting couple of months for us all. This should not put you off - it is worth it - but be aware that you may have to exercise a lot of perseverence. We are now in week 15 and have just about cracked the problem! Our son is so happy and proud of himself; he tells me he loves his alarm.
Customer Review: Good results but wire is a little inconvenient

Our five year old daughter had trouble controlling her pee at night. This gave her (and us) immediate feedback when she wet herself at night. The first night the alarm went off and we had to wake her up but she was able to stop urinating quickly enough that she only lightly wet her underwear. After that she held her pee for almost two weeks every night and only had a slight incident right before waking up in the morning. We have her wear it every other night right now but she is complaining about the wire being uncomfortable. Not sure how we'll deal with this issue but will try to come up with some compromise. Excess wire has been easy enough to tuck in and/or tape so it's out of the way (we pin the unit inside her pants).
This product definitely worked for her and she gets immediate feedback if she is wetting. Wish we knew about this sooner.

I have never written a review for a product before, but this one is truly a miracle. I used it on my recently turned 6 year old boy who had never had a dry night his entire life and would wet through a name brand overnight pullup. After 7 nights with the alarm we had our first dry night and this was 17 nights ago. This alarm has somehow rewired his thinking so that he holds his bladder all night. My son is so proud of his accomplishments and this device is well worth the $$$. We had tried no liquids, waking him up, chiropractic treatments...all which did not work. This item is truly a MIRACLE!! I am now passing it on to my brother to try on his son. One word of warning: you will feel like you have a newborn while the buzzer is working, since you HAVE to get up and make sure that your child is awake...well worth the loss of sleep!!
