Seat height is advertised as adjustable from 19" to 25"
Because of the soft foam padding material, the actual height when you're seated is about 15" to 20".
If you really need a chair seat that is 21-25 inches tall, don't buy this one.

I am getting my work done with the help of this stool. I have had chronic back trouble for the last 40 years. I can now cook ,do dishes, and even iron, without having to take a break to relieve my back pain. It's almost a new lease on life. Purchased stool for use in still photography. I was looking for a durable, comfortable, adjustable stool and this one also had good reviews. Chair moves freely, even on commercial carpet. Comfortable, easy rolling. Very soft seat however--when you sit in it, the effective height of the chair is lowered by several inches. This stool is very comfortable. It's well cushioned and well balanced. Rolls easily, even on carpet. I use it about an hour at a time and I am always comfortable. (This is not the usual for me with other chairs.) I have no qualms recommending this product.
