Customer Review: Wow. I Can't Believe It! It WORKED!

I am a 33 year old woman who has been biting her nails for as long as she can remember. I tried New Years resolutions, hypnosis, and "No Bite" (similar to this product) and none of them worked. (No Bite is similar but you have to reapply every time you wash your hands and that does not work for me.) This stuff, you put on every other day or so. When I 1st started, I put it on every day, but now I only put it on every few days. Its been almost two months since I bought this product(and I still have over half the bottle) and I actually have nails and dont bite them. Don't get me wrong... I want to bite them... they look delicious... but the horrible taste that would accompany that action makes it just not worth it. This product works... you cant even THINK about biting your nails without this stuff getting in your mouth. Not only that, but you you wont lick your fingers after eating chicken or chips. This product is horrible! Well... I guess its great since it does what its supposed to do. It is NOT MADE FOR KIDS UNDER 5, so if you read some of the 1 star reviews, you will see a lot of those folks cannot follow directions. I will recommend this product. Its horrible and wonderful at the same time... now I can get a manicure without being embarrased about my chewed nails.Customer Review: I never knew there could be a cure!

I am 21 years old.. I have been biting my nails for as long as I can remember. I have tried many many times to stop. Mostly, it was trying to do it "cold turkey," but that never worked. I would also paint my nails pretty colors, get acrylics, etc.. all would revert back to me biting at my nails. Not to mention, painting little stubs is NOT that attractive to begin with. So, I gave in and bought this product!
It is now only two weeks after I started applying this to my nails. The taste is HORRIBLE. Oh my lord.. I hate to say it, but I am SO happy it is! You will cringe at the thought of placing your fingers remotely close to your mouth. The taste will remain very potent on your nails for about three days. It is a nice clear coat of nail polish, so it doesn't look bad on your nails.
I now no longer get the urge to bite my nails. I went out and bought brand new nail polish to celebrate! I can't wait for another two weeks to where my nails will be nice and LONG! I also have plenty more in the bottle jusssst in case I feel I may be getting an urge.
I recommend this product completely!! Anyone who is fed up with biting their nails to an oblivion will be pleasantly suprised! Trust me, I thought I was a lost cause!

I have never written a review before, but I said to myself if this stuff works I will write a review so it would help other mothers. I have a 3 1/2 year old daughter who literally has been sucking her thumb since she was in the whomb! Any time she was tired or upset she would suck her thumb and twirl her hair. I honestly thought I would never get her to stop. I thought my only hope was to buy the thumbguard, but that is expensive and I thought she probably wouldn't wear it anyhow. So for $7.99 I found this recommendation on Baby Center.com. I bought it here on Amazon and tried it the day we received it. I told her it was special nail polish just for her. I made up an excuse as to why I was only applying it to her thumbs, but she didn't care. A few minutes later she went to put her thumb in her mouth and took it out a split second later. She told me it tasted funny and I just told her she shouldn't suck her thumb anyway. Well, its been over a week now and no thumb sucking!! It really is amazing. I've only had to apply it a couple of times just for precaution, but really it wasn't even necessary. I would recommend this product to everyone with a child who sucks their thumb. While waiting for it to arrive in the mail. (Less than a week via USPS priority to Hawaii) I prepared my son by explaining the consequences of thumb sucking, ESPECIALLY the part where his thumb will start to "rot" and taste bad. (Yes, I know it's a lie, but it's a little white one. Besides, he recently lost 4 front teeth.) Everyday, with the sight of him sucking his thumb, he would be reminded of the impending "rotting and bad taste". The Mavala Stop arrived and I painted his whole thumb nail early the following morning while he was still asleep. That morning, he was upset that his thumb went from really delicious to really nasty in one night. I really felt bad. So bad, that I cleaned the "rot" off. (In hind sight, I should have painted a thin stripe the first night and increased the coverage over the next 3-4 nights.) The second night, I painted a thin stripe. He woke that morning, slightly upset, and told me that I was right, his thumb did start to rot and taste bad. I increased the coverage since and reapplied about every 3 days. Within 2 weeks of starting this my little boy broke this habit.
I'm sure there are some kids where other thumb sucking remedies do work. For the ones that are resistant those other remedies there is Mavala Stop.

We bought this product to help our 5 yr old stop sucking his thumb. Our son was an avid thumb sucker at night and occasionally throughout the day.
We researched products out there and this one received the best reviews. After trying the product for about 2 days, it worked! Our son had no desire to suck his thumb.. We continued to use the product for about 3 weeks as directed to ensure no setbacks... It's now been about 2 months and our son has not once tried to suck his thumb...
Tips:
1. Apply as directed. We applied this at night when he was sleeping. He had no idea it was us that was applying the "magic sprinkles" as he called them on his thumbs. If he knew it was us, he would have resisted. We told him the tooth fairy must have sprinkled magic dust on his thumbs to help him stop sucking his thumbs...
2. Make sure you apply the liquid to all fingers (at the base of the nail not the tips). After the first day we noticed our son trying to suck other fingers when the thumbs didn't taste good. ... We corrected that after a 2nd doses on all fingers!
Can't say enough good things about this product. It tastes awful but it works and that was our goal! Highly recommend it.
