This does exactly what it claims to do. My six year old quit cold turkey. One caveat though -- we let her decide when and one day she said, I guess you should order the nail polish. She really had been trying to quit for months. I wonder if the people who did not have a good experience were perhaps doing it before their children were ready. I would highly recommend this to any family whose child wants to stop. My child would too! She is really proud of herself and we are really impressed by the product. One more suggestion: pick your time carefully. She was pretty emotional for a while - like someone quitting any bad habit that had comforted them. I would not try it before a vacation or an important family event.
