Customer Review: A "Must" Following Back Surgery

This product is great for people who can't bend over, and have the hand strength to use it. I have had three spine surgeries and would have had some very bad moments without it. I can pick up a pill or a toothpick off the floor (invaluable when you have pets or children who might otherwise eat dropped items), or use it to sort laundry. I bought a second reacher to keep upstairs, so I wouldn't have to carry one around with me. It will not pick up heavy objects, but anything else on the floor is easily retrieved.Customer Review: Best reacher grabber on the market!

I have owned and broken most grabbers on the market. The fold-up Gopher is a joke, another, with a flimsy wire down the center breaks after too much use, and the heavy-duty unit from Lowes is hard on the wrist. This unit is the smart way to go! It is strong and durable and makes the most sense in the way it utilizes the strength of the hand and fingers and relieves pressure from the wrist. Also, it is exactly the correct length for a six foot man. No bending at the lumbar required!Customer Review: I like it.

Bought it for the wife to reach stuff on the top shelf - she just made me move stuff she uses to a lower shelf, and I never saw her use it.
So.. when I was cleaning out the garage, I kept it handy for myself. It allowed me to reach over the other junk in the garage to the junk I was trying to reach to throw away. It works great and its sturdy.
AND you don't have to bend over too far to pick up stuff off the floor.

I have used several types of reachers, and have not liked most of them, or really any of them, until I tried this one. It is sturdy, efficient, lightweight, easy to hold and use, and a great product. It does not lock up, but I prefer that, as I have found the lock a pain to use on the other reachers I have tried. I invariably had to use my other hand to release the lock, while this one is one hand operation all the way. Thanks Medline.Customer Review: Good gift for people with handicaps

This is a quality and easy to use tool. It is much better than the trigger types. It is easier to use for those with arthritis or weakness in their hands. I have given 4 of them as gifts to people with bad backs or were confined to bed. It has been a much appreciated gift; giving them back some independence. I wouldn't pick up really heavy items with it because you may tear off the rubber tips that help grip the item.
