I bought this for my mom because she had surgery and cannot bend easily to pick things up. Let me tell you that this thing works great. It really does pick up the littlest things like rubberbands and paper clips and it has a long reach that enables you to grab things from a top shelf. It has an easy to control handle that really does not take a lot of muscle strength to use. I highly recommend it.Customer Review: A must for a bad back!

This product works like a charm. It is also very well-made and durable in appearance. I am very excited about it. I think reducing the number of times you bend over helps avoid back episodes as mine always occur bending and lifting something silly like a shoe. It is also useful in getting things from tough places. The handle is not difficult to use at all. Good purchase at a good price!Customer Review: the grabits.

this is the only grabits that realy works. I have tried them all, most are worthless for anything. I had two, and after a major back operation (can't bend, twist, strech, lift anything heavier than a loaf of bread, sneeze, cough, or breath deep) I ordered two more to be handy to help me with my daily life.

This Medline 31" Reacher is not nearly as good as my previous one. My previous Medline 31" Reacher had an easily-operated spring, but the new one has a stiff spring, making it hard to operate the grips. The tips of my previous Medline 31" Reacher were made of rubber, but the new one has tips made of plastic, making it hard to pick up small objects.Customer Review: Not for weak hands

The Medline Reacher is a great product. It is durable, lightweight, and well made, and that is why I gave it five stars. Unfortunately, I have weak hands and could not use it and had to return it. However, if you have adequate hand strength and are looking for a reacher I would definitely recommend this product.
