I happen to have Amazon Prime, so I got free shipping on this -- so I already got a great deal on this, only paying like $45 with tax.
It did arrive slightly damaged. Several pieces from the bucket and lid were cracked -- but just around the edges of the top -- so it was still generally useable. Amazon did not fill up the box with tons of air balloons like they usually do to keep the commode secure in the box (by the way -- it is shipped assembled!). We decided not to return it because we could sit the bucket underneath just fine on the floor - and it was for emergencies anyway. But we did look at it and the plastic was pretty heavy duty -- it was just how Amazon happened to package and ship it, unfortunately.
The bucket is small enough that you can dump it right into your own toilet and clean it out in your tub or a utility sink. The seat is shaped like a regular toilet seat, so no uncomfortable substitutes. It is wide enough that an adult can turn while getting on/off in a relatively comfortable fashion -- and there are arm rests with grips to give you a hand on both sides, too.
Now that my dad is gone, we're going to hang onto it and use it for my toilet training 19 month old daughter.
