From box to tub in about 3 minutes.
We have a new bathroom with tile and an enameled steel tub and though we're not geriatric by any means having beautiful stone and tile surfaces means the chance of slipping while getting in and out of a wet shower/tub is very real.
The tub bar works great and fits unobtrusively between the shower curtain and curtain liner. It's very solid, stable, and provides a nice hand hold without being permanently affixed to the wall.
We also tried those suction cup handles and found that they tend to lose their grip over a period of time. Not something you want to have fail while in the middle of losing your balance.
You don't have to be old and fragile to want a little extra safety to prevent falls and injury. This is a nice compromise between having nothing at all and having permanent grab bars affixed to your walls.

The bathtub bar that locks to the side of your tub allows for you to get in and out of your tub. It has a crank-style, locking device that attaches to tub walls up to 6 inches wide.
