This reminds me of Christmas lights changing colors. It's a really pretty effect, and it makes a neat design on the wall above. I have this in my hall bathroom, and as long as the light is off in there, and it's night, it stays on.
As far as I know a night light is not supposed to "light up" a whole room. Leave the room light on if that's what you need.
So far I haven't had any problems, and I hope it lasts, but it's not as though this light was super expensive. I think it's worth $5.99.

Overall, I regret this purchase. The color changing was a nice feature, and the sensor worked VERY well (came on only when it was dark). The light wasn't as bright as I hoped, but it was adequate. My main complaint: A few days after using the 1st one, I pushed the button to change the color & I unknowingly had static in me--the static fried the sensor or something when I touched the light and it won't work now. If you tend have a lot of static in your house, buy something else! Waste of $$$ for me.Customer Review: High quality, low price

This light has a pleasant glow that fades from one color to another. You can also stop the light on the color of your choice. I've had this light for a long time and I haven't had to change the battery. The colors are rich and vibrant without being too bright to let you sleep. Another nice feature of this night light is that it has a sensor on it that turns it on automatically when it gets dark. I would recommend this to anyone that needs a night light or likes LEDs. This night light does a very good job at providing adequate lighting to any room. Use to have a low wattage night light that was only one color and did not provide nearly the same amount of light the Megabrite night light provides. A neat feature is that you can hold a particular color or pause the color changing light and make it light up the room with yellow, red, green, blue or white light. The night light can resume color changing again with a press of a button on the night light.

We bought 3 of these lights as replacements for the old style that need new bulbs every month or two. They work beautifully and the colors are really cool. The grand kids love to watch them when they stay over at our house. From a practical stand point they are always cool to the touch and with the built in light sensor they are only on when it's dark out. We've only had them for about a month but, I wish I had found these years ago. Definitely, a great buy.
