I will probably buy these blades until the day I die, or they stop making them. They are cheap, and sharp. They seem to last me anywhere from 3-6 weeks depending on how often I shave. I might have to buy a new pack of blades about once a year. At the price that they are, I could probably afford to replace them much more often, but I don't really see the need because they seem to be working fine. The quality of these blades is a lot better than the name brand 2-5 blade ones being marketed at a much higher cost.Customer Review: No wonder it is considered baseline

This is a great blade. I usually get about 10 passes across my face for each blade. I get a smoother, more constant shave than I could have ever expected.
There is a learning curve. The fist few times I cut myself up pretty badly. And last night, girlfriend found out the same thing.
That being said, once I got the hang of it--light, smooth strokes--I never looked back to the other "shaving systems". I don't know why you need 4 or 5 blades when one does the trick so well.

I switched over to the Merkur Classic Safety Razor a couple of years ago and have been happy since. I haven't used any other razor blades, just the Merkur blades because they work so well. I can get about 10 shaves per blade before they start to dull, and my facial hair is fairly coarse. Also the blades are a heck of a lot cheaper than disposable shaving blades and create a lot less waste.Customer Review: Nowhere close

I received a sample of these blades when I bought my Merkur Razor Handle. I had already read about other razor blades and ordered a set of Derby blades with my order. Thank goodness for that because when I used the Merkur blade for my first shave just to give it a try, it did not reduce my beard at all. It only felt like I was passing a thin edge over my face. I immediately switched over to the Derby and had a wonderful experience. Merkur blades definately did not work for me.Customer Review: Inferior garbage

I've bought blades at Wal-Mart for less that were better. I own and love my Merkur Razor. Their blades are garbage. They tug at day old stubble because they are not sharp enough fresh out of the wrapper on the first use. If you need a good blade man up and buy Feather. It seems that the Germans are all about recycled steel and their knives and Razor blades show it. The best knives and Razor blades are coming out of Japan these days.
