My doctor told me I needed to add more fiber to my diet (I'm only 35 but was not getting enough), and he gave me a metamucil sampler package which contained some of the powder, some pills, and a few of these wafers. The doctor said the wafers weren't worth the money, but the powder and pills were.
Let me tell you something, when I tried the wafers I felt like I was eating a delicious cinnamon graham cracker. Tasty, crunchy and causing no undesirable results. I also eat them one packet at a time (2 wafers) but some days I will have a second packet later in the day. They go excellent with coffee, tea or milk.
For about $10, you get 2 boxes (12 packages of wafers with 2 wafers each). According to my math, that is about 20 cents per wafer (40 cents per packet), which is a great deal and much cheaper than many of the snack bars out there.
I haven't tried the apple ones yet, but may have to give them a shot based on how good these cinnamon ones are.
