Ok, so what did you really expect for ten dollars? I bought this at a local store, since I just couldn't justify paying shipping for a $10 electric shaver. I've been shaving with a double edge razor from Germany for years, and I love the closeness. This doesn't even compare. But neither does the $200 class Braun, Norelco or Remington. Nothing is going to get as close as a classic double edge razor (especially a slant bar) except a straight razor (cutthroat razor). What anyone is actually looking for in buying an electric shaver is convenience. Let's be honest, you want to turn a switch and watch your beard go away with no fuss or muss.
So, that being said, this shaver is alright. I've been using it for about a week, every day and it's been ok. I think the key with this shaver is that you have to have a light touch. If you press it into your skin it will bite you (like almost any other shaver). And you have to use it every day. It won't work with longer hair. It just pulls and hurts.
It is hell on batteries though. I got through three days of shaves before I had to change batteries. I'm gonna buy some rechargeable AAA batteries and try that.
Eventually I'm sure I'll tire of the novelty and go back to my double, but for now, and for $10, it'll work.
