I do like the conditioner alot. I'm not sure I will order it again though. Here's my story: I have very thick blonde curly hair. It is prone to frizz. I have different types of curl going on as well, meaning, some of my hair is ringlet, some is large curl, some is wave, and parts are just straight...really crazy. I have been using Paul Mitchell "The Conditioner" and I love it, but saw the reviews for this and thought I'd give it a try since it seems to be a "miracle" for curly hair. Let's face it no one says Paul Mitchell is a miracle for curls...so I bought a bottle of Mixed Chicks just "to see". I spent a couple of weeks using the Mixed Chicks leave in conditioner and comparing it to the Paul Mitchell ($10). Honestly, for MY hair, I liked the Paul Mitchell the exact same as Mixed Chicks. I would say they are equal...except for the price. Mixed Chicks being more expensive ($22 with shipping). I did not use the Mixed Chicks shampoo, or wash out conditioner. Maybe they work better if all the products are used together, but the cost would be too high when I already know my hair looks great with Paul Mitchell and a good quality over the counter moisturizing shampoo (Dove $4) and wash out conditioner (Neutrogena $6). If the day ever comes when Paul isn't available, I will definitely use this (and yes, I will definitley finish using the bottle). It is very good....just more costly and I can't get it locally, so that's a pain.
What I use: Dove Damage Therapy moisturizing shampoo, Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Mask, Paul Mitchell "The Conditioner", Paul Mitchell "Round Trip" ($12), Nutrisse Mousse. And yes, if I want my hair to look great, I use ALL of it when I wash my hair, but it's not that big a deal, I don't have to blow dry at all. I just apply the products (3 when I get out of the shower) and air dry.
While using the Mixed Chicks leave in conditioner, I used all the same products I just listed....only substituting the conditioner. I'll say one more time...I noticed NO DIFFERENCE. My hair looked just as good. One other thing, Mixed Chicks says you don't have to use other styling products with this leave in conditioner. I did NOT find that to be true. I tried. I got FRIZZ.
Personal opinion on a styling product: OMG you have got to use the Paul Mitchell Round Trip. Did you see that curly haired girl during the Olympics who snow boarded? I looked her up on the internet (can't remember her name now) and found where she used this stuff and her curly hair looked fantastic....so I bought some....GREAT STUFF!!! I still have to use all the other stuff, but my hair has never looked better. The Round Trip helps define the curls and gets rid of the frizz..TOTALLY. Thanks curly haired snow boarding girl from the Olympics!!!!
