Customer Review: I LOVE Magic Erasers!!! Great Product
Summary: 5 Stars

I'm waiting for a book to come out called "101 Ways to use Magic Erasers" because I'll bet there are 101 ways at least. These sponges pick upi dirt you didn't even know was there. Let me tell you some of the ways I have put them to use:

1. Used it on the kitchen walls/ceiling to remove dirt/grease film - looks like new. (Do not recommend using on flat finish or cheaper paints though without checking an area first).

2. Used it to quickly remove soap scum from the shower/tub without having to use chemicals.

3. Used it to remove car wax from the black plastic portions of my car (don't you hate it when you get wax on there and you can't get it off?)

4. Used it on my kitchen counter to remove a wine stain.

5. Used it to get the gumminess off things I had purchased that had those annoying gummy labels on them.

And I am still finding uses for these. They recommend not using them on wood and I agree. I tested it and it will remove the finish. However if you are planning to refinish your natural wood (not painted) kitchen cabinets with something like Rejuvenate Cabinet Restorer (also a great product) then I recommend cleaning them with a Magic Eraser first to improve adherence (worked for me, but test it first on the inside of a cabinet door to make sure you will see good results too).

Note - this is not like your typical sponge and does not replace the typical sponge... but instead can remove dirt where the traditional psonge can't. Magic Erasers disintigrate as you use them so they will not last as long as a traditional sponge.

BJ's club used to sell their own brand of Magic Eraser (for less $), but I have not seen them there for awhile.

Customer Review: $50 Bucks? Fancy Box - No Magic - MELAMINE
Summary: 2 Stars

Yes, this product does everything it claims.
But...

"Magic" eraser is simple insulation foam that has been available in other countries as cleaning sponges for decades! In Japan, people are able to buy large sheets of white "magic" melamine sponges for a dollar (or 100 yen) each and then just break off what they need.

Here in the U.S. you can buy the same sheets of sponges at Japanese dollar stores for about $1.50 each; a fraction of what P&G wants to charge you. Next, P&G might want to peddle individually wrapped five-dollar plastic spoons and dub them "Magic Utensils"!

I also want to point out the other negative reviewers who say "disintegrates too quickly" - Well, this is an issue for you because you paid $5 for a tiny scrap of foam and did not get your money's worth. I want to emphasize that the product works great....BuT... P&G is ripping you off with stingy portions, pricey packaging and exaggerated marketing.
We are talking about common, ordinary melamine insulation. COnsumers should be able to by giant sheets of the stuff for next to nothing, without the packaging and the bloated hype.

Find a Japanese Dollar store in your city and get a large sheet of foam sponge $1.50.

Customer Review: Wonderful Product!

There comes a time when you happened to find a product that just simply works. This is one of those. I got 3 little kids that treat our walls like an artist's canvas (or cavemen's prehistoric walls). My wife and I fell in love with this household item because it has been a great help since we got a hold of it. A realtor friend who makes sure his houses are clean before presenting it to the market actually recommended it to us.

Great for pens, markers and food stains (permanent markers also can be cleaned if it is on a shiny surface). Works even better on glossy paints. The pads is like an ordinary light white foam. What I do is, I cut them into little pieces like inch cubes. I soak them into water and squeeze it out just enough to make the foam damp but not dripping wet. I scrub it to the wall until the material disintegrates. Excess water will start to drip just make sure you have some paper towel handy to catch the water running down the walls. Not only for walls, we use it for toys, kitchen counter, stove, sink, also for furnitures, and many more. It has been a regular item in our pantry ever since.

Customer Review: Magic is right! This is amazing!
Summary: 5 Stars

This product is actually one of the few I have seen that ACTUALLY does what it is supposed to, and well! It gets up grime so well. My husband is a construction worker so it doesn't take long for our bath tub/shower walls to get caked on yucky stuff that I would normally have to scrub and scrub to get off. Now I just take my eraser, get it really wet, and just wipe. If it's really yucky, I may have to wipe like twice with some pressure, but it just wipes completely clean. It's amazing! Very little elbow grease is required. It is great for scuff marks, wall dirt, etc.

My only complaint is that the sponge goes pretty fast if you are cleaning something very dirty. But still, it is amazing and worht the money as it will save you a lot of time. And you don't have to spray cleansers everywhere. It's all there in the little sponge.

Customer Review: Great to use at home or work!
Summary: 5 Stars

I was having a huge problem at work. You see, part of my job is laser-engraving plastic signs, and the engraving process was leaving a thin film of colored plastic condensate on the engraved signs. I tried everything I could think of--soap, cleansers, nail polish remover, toothpaste--but nothing worked very well, and I spent a lot of time at the sink.

Until I tried the Magic Eraser. Now, I just give the signs a quick wipe as soon as they are done engraving, before I even remove them from the engraver bed, and they come up clean enough to sell.

I have been happy ever since I discovered this.

And to top it off, yesterday, I used the Magic Eraser at home to to remove splashes of hair dye from my formica kitchen counter.

This product lives up to its name.
