I decided to try this scent diffuser after reading about the terrible chemicals found in Glade Plug-Ins (including phthalates and cancer causing chemicals that I can't even pronounce.) I'm sold and will be replacing all my Glade Plug-Ins with these great scent diffusers!
These last just as long as the glade and the scent is beautiful. It's also wonderful that the scents match the Mrs Meyers cleaning products so you have a uniform scent in your home rather than a mish-mosh of fragrances.
It would have been nice if Mrs Meyers would have taken a hint from Glade and added an adjuster to the diffuser so you can control how much fragrance is released into the air - the scent can be a bit overpowering at times. Warning, the scent jars are made of glass, so you don't want these near young children or pets that might pull out the refill and drop it. My 3 and 5 year old already knew never to touch the glade plug-ins, so it was not a problem for my family, and I don't mind glass - again, less plastics = less chemicals.
As for the previous reviewer who complained that these don't fit all electrical receptacles - I don't know why she would say this. Unless you have receptacles that are out of date, or your entire room has the standard vertical receptacles turned on their sides, these should work fine in your home. They DO FIT ALL STANDARD electrical outlets with no problem. I think what she was trying to say is that these can't be turned upside-down or sideways like the Glade plug-ins. You just have to be ready to plug it into the bottom outlet or dedicate your entire receptacle to one diffuser. Not a big deal for me, and definitely a small adjustment to get this wonderful, non-toxic diffuser going in my home.
