I have COPD and my doctor prescribed Guaifenesin for lung congestion. When Guaifenesin became an over the counter drug I started taking Mucinex 600 mg tablets. I stopped taking Mucinex for a short time and experienced lung congestion and problems breathing. I started back with Mucinex and have taken them for several years.Customer Review: eases some asthma problems

I went to my doctor with a cloggy throat (mucus)and my usual moderate asthma problems. She suggested trying Mucinex regular (not D). It has actually been a big help for me, though I never travel without a rescue inhaler and definitely need stronger asthma meds in allergy season. MUCINEX IS A HELP but NOT a cure.Customer Review: Wonderful value

Have been using Mucinex when it was still a prescription med. The price I paid for this bottle of 100 tablets (approximately $25) is by far the best price I have ever found. Local suppliers like Wal-Mart and the major drug chains do not carry this item in bulk. The only carry blister packs and the price per pill is atrocious. On a limited income, I could not purchase this necessary medication if I could not get the bulk price available here.
