For the sub-$20 price I got it for, this is an awesome buy. Super low profile scale with a nice bright screen. I had two gripes with my old scale. First, it had grooves that would get dirty easily and took a long time to clean. This scale cleans easily as it's a flat plate. Second, my old scale was hard to read as it was that standard black on grey LED. The results would disappear quickly too. This scale lasts a long time before the results go away. Even if you get off the scale it'll continue to show the results for about 10 seconds. No tapping beforehand either, just step on.
My only gripe was the plastic battery pull-tab that we were supposed to pull out before use. Mine was jammed in so tight I'm pretty sure I would have broke something if I pulled any harder. I ended up opening the battery pack and removing the batteries in order to get it out of there. Looking at it I still don't see how anyone could pull it out without damaging the battery cover or connections. Be careful when removing it, doing what I did may be less risky.

I am so happy with this item that it has prompted me to write my first amazon review. I looked at scales for hours, and I decided to buy this one based off of the reviews. The first surprise was how nice this thing looks. The pictures don't do this thing justice! It just flat out looks better in person than it does in the pictures. I was not expecting this to be so sleek! It is about as thin as a couple of magazines stacked on top of each other (maybe thinner) and it has a very attractive glass surface. The next surprise was how accurate this thing is. I get very consistent readings. Last night I decided to do a little experiment. I weighed myself 3 or 4 times in a row and got 188.0 every time. I went into the kitchen and drank a glass of water. I then immediately weighed myself again and got a reading of 188.8. Thats good enough for me! The only con I can think of is not that big of a deal: you have to be pretty still while you weigh yourself to get the scale to lock in on your weight. If you were thinking about getting this scale - I say go for it!Customer Review: Don't Buy This!

I bought this scale about 2 or 3 months ago. I read the reviews and liked the look. Big mistake! I am overweight but I can see the numbers on the scale. My first complaint is that this scale requires absolutely no movement to get a weight on you. When I mean no movement I mean DON'T BREATHE or this scale will keep jumping around and then it turns itself off. You have maybe 4 seconds to stand completely still before it shuts itself off. Usually I have to stand close to the wall and put the tips of both index fingers on the wall to stand steady enough to get a weight. Even if I do that 3 times in a row and get a weight the weight is usually different all 3 times. Another problem I have with this scale is that the button to change from KG to LBS is on the bottom so depending on how you stand on it, you will change it from KG's to LBS. This thing is a waste of money so just pass it up and keep looking.Customer Review: Not Bad

The best thing about this weight scale is its sleek and modern look. It is light, easy to use, and comfortable. Unlike many other weight scales, it doesn't look bulky or weigh a ton, so moving it from one room to another is really easy.
The only thing that I don't like about this weight scale is that the switch between pounds, kilos and British pounds is located in a very inconvenient place. If you don't need to use this switch very often, then you won' have this problem. But for those of us who use the switch on a regular basis, it's a huge drag. You have to lift the scale in your arms, rummage around for the switch (and it isn't easy to find either), press the button, place the scale back on the floor, and use it. And then go through the entire process once again to switch it back.
Otherwise, it's a very good product for this price.

This is the best scale we've ever had. Was very inexpensive. It is stylish, and works well. You simply set kilo or pounds, place on a hard surface, and step on. If you move it (significantly) you have to reset it because it senses the surface and calculates weight based on the set. It does not sense anything under 10 lbs, and only holds the display for 10 seconds, then automatically shuts of, so you would have to get back on if you missed the weight. That might be a little confusing for some children or first time users. I have tried stepping all over the scale to see if it gives a different weight for different foot placement, but it seems to be the same everywhere. I have also picked up objects that weigh a few ounces to see if it is actually accurate ...and it is! This is a hundred times better than our options at the local stores (in it's price range).
