I havent had any problems with the tape measure, besides the numbers being a little higher around the waist than I would want them to be, but thats my diet speaking. I wish the people who reviewed this product earlier had a little more sense, of course the tape measure doesnt start at zero inches. Your supposed to use it as a loop around the measured area. The tape takes into account the plastic curve in the handle area. If anyone is led astray from buying this product, please dont let it be for this reason.Customer Review: Myotape worth the money at Amazon

I have purchased several of these products in the past year. We own a medspa and have several weight loss programs so we measure all sizes and shapes of people daily. The only thing that needs improvement is a way to keep the end of the tape connected to the base while measuring. It has a little hole where the tape end is inserted, but I find it often pops out. A suggestion would be to add magnets to the base and the end of the tape so the two would be "attracted" to each other and less likely to unhook.Customer Review: OK for the price

This tape measure works ok, but it certainly could have been designed better. After you wrap it around the part of your body that you want to measure, you put the pin on the end of the tape into the slot, then you push the button to tighten the tape, completing the measurement. The problem is that the pin falls out of the slot very easily, before you can push the button.
I've put some tape on the pin to make it fit better - it wouldn't have cost them any more to make this a snug fit...

I am not sure if this varies between each unit but the myotape measure for me, does not start at 0, the number starts at 2inches at the beginning of the tape. So every-time I measure I always have to subtract 2, which is kind of annoying. Everything else is great, the pin though, I wish did hold itself a little better. The pin comes in handy when your measuring by yourself but sometimes it pops out when your really trying to get a perfect measurement. I have found this measuring tape to be multifaceted and quite useful. For instance I tend to get secret pleasure out of measuring myself whilst donning my sweater-vest and handy sombrero. At times, however, I do find this product can cause a slight bit of chafing, that is when I turn to the ever soothing and convenient body glyde speed stick. All and all I find this to be a tremendous product, it really keeps me ahead of my weight gain and world domination aspirations. Highly reccomended!!
