I could not be happier with my purchase. I was pleasantly surprised how sturdy and well constructed this otosocpe was especially for it's inexpensive price. I am a [physician and have been using a very expensive brand since I graduated med school. The replacement bulbs on that otoscope cost me as much as this entire otoscope and I was sometimes replacing them 2 times in a year especially if the otoscope was ever dropped. I had decided this expense was getting ridiculous. I saw this otosocpe oin Amazon and emailed the medschoolsupply.com website to see how much the replacement bulbs were before I purchased. When they told me they were only $7 vs $35 for my old otoscope I decided I had to give this one a try. I could not be happier. It's light is just slightly less bright but the view of the tympanic membrane I get from this otosocpe is every bit as clear if not better than the one from the expensive brand I had been using. this one also comes with a glass lens insterad of acrylic plastic like my old model.
Bottom line you will not find a better bargain than this otoscope in my honest opinion as a physician who has been using otosocpes my entire 25 year career.

I have been so impressed with my purchase. The otoscope appears very sturdy and of quality construction. The light is bright and I can see my 7 year old daughters eardrum really clearly. In my honest opinion you could not ask for a better product for the price. I did have an issue with the bulb burning out shortly after receiving the otoscope. I notified the company and they immediately sent out a new bulb wrapped in bubble wrap and foam. The otoscope has not had any issues since that time. The company explained that the bulb filaments can sometimes be weakened if they the shipments are tossed around by FedEx before reaching their destination causing the bulbs to burn out early. Normally they say the bulbs should last a couple years with normal use. I had purchased a little plastic otoscope at Walgreens a year or so ago but it was a complete waste of money. The lens and light were of poor quality and made it very difficult to see anything with it. For the few extra dollars I spent on this model I consider it a real bargain for the money spent. I have come back to purchase 2 more of these otoscopes. I purchased this same otoscope in the past and it has worked flawlessly in our clinic for the past 2 years. The light is very bright and what you see is very clear. I feel you can not go wrong with this otoscope especially considering it's inexpensive price. Actually I can almost guarantee you will be amazed at it's quality considering it was under $50. The only problem I ever had was the zipper on it's case kept sticking. Two or three months after I purchased it I emailed the company and explained the problem. They immediately sent me out a new case no questions asked.
As I said I could not be happier.......other than if someone can get summer to arrive a little sooner rather than later. Whatever happened to global warming? This is the coldest Houston winter I can remember.

I am so happy with my otoscope purchase. This is a really well made sturdy otoscope with a very bright light. I can see my daughters ear Drum very easily. I had bought a cheaper otoscope initially and did not like it at all. This otoscope is much higher quality and was only $30 more. I was a little worried about buying this one when I read a review about the ear speculum not fitting properly for one person who purchased it. I have not had any problem at all with the speculums fitting well.I purchased extra speculums that are disposable and they also fit very well so this has not been an issue for me.
Overall I am extremely happy with my purchase especially considering the inexpensive price. I would give it 10 stars if they allowed me to.

This is a very well built and functional otoscope for office use. I priced a new Welch Allyn model recently and developed a case of sticker shock. I went looking for something less expensive and this is what I found. I was a bit skeptical at first due to the low price but after receiving it I could not be happier with my purchase. My only complaint was that initially I could not use disposable specula until I found a connector device available on the companies website. It was only 10 bucks but I learned after I ordered this one on Amazon I could have ordered the same otoscope complete with the adapter for the same price there.Overall it is still a really good bargain for the price I paid.
