Customer Review: Not a fan of the speculum

This otoscope is great for looking in children's and adult's ears. However, I purchased it to look in my infant's ears and found a problem with the speculum. Even though the opening for the smallest one is 2mm, the speculum is made of very thick plastice so you can't insert it far enough into the ear canal to see the tympanic membrane. It is just too big for baby's little canal. Other than that, this is a great product.Customer Review: Great Buy!

My toddler twins have been prone to ear infections. I purchase this otoscope set in hopes of checking their ears at home so I wasn't running to the doctor every week to check if the whining wasn't yet another ear infection. It is easy to use and the view within the ear is very clear. My pediatrician (who showed me how to use it) was also very impressed!Customer Review: Avoid that Office Visit Copay

This tool has been invaluable to us. We have avoided numerous doctors visits. Our son pulls at his ears when he is teething and when combined with the fussiness, one would believe he was having ear pain. A great investment.
Highly recommend practicing on adults and older siblings (if possible) before trying on an infant.

The otoscope was a great tool to use while I was just in Nicaragua on a medial mission trip. The light was bright, easy to use, the universal adapter worked great, even with inexpensive batteries the light worked well for about 1.5 days of heavy use (about 50 patients), and even more expensive opthamascope/otoscope heads fit and worked.Customer Review: Solid but flawed Product

This Otoscope is reasonably price and gets the job done, but it's disposable spectula adapter is crap. It does not hold the disposable tips on, hindering your ability to manuaver during otoscopy. It you don't mind washing and sanitizing your tips after each use, then you will probably like this product just fine.
