This is my fithday on the pills, and i started seing visible result on the third day on it.(not kidding) i know...it sounds crazy but i found the one thing that works on me. what i first noticed was my nails on the third day on the pills(nature's bounty super potency biotin,5000mcg,60 capsules pack of 2) my nails were chiped and discolored right before i started to take the pills,the 4rd day while i was in the shower putting on my contacts lens i looked at my nails...they looked like i had a manicure while i was sleeping.the shape of my nails were rounded and the tips are just like french nails,nail top are light pink,soft shine it looks amazing.now comes the other part is my skin...lol...i dont know if anyone else has the same result but my skin got lighter (F.Y.I =i'm a black female).and my hair texture is soft now~~ got longer but not as fast as i would want it to :p (but i havent started growing extra hair on other parts of my body ...just yet~i will update this review if i could oh...by the way im on a diet pill so i was afraid that these biotin will affect my diet,but it has not i take the biotin right when i wake up the shower for 15minutes then take my usual diet pills.)

I'm not a huge vitamin/supplement gal, and I've never found any specific correlation between a particular supplement and a desired response, but I'm a convert in this case! Biotin purportedly makes your nails and hair grow faster and better, and boy does it ever! I wanted my nails to be better (stronger and more flexible), and I also wanted help growing out my hair, so I checked it out. And it works ridiculously well!
A word of caution - this stuff works on *all* your hair. My eyebrows need plucking more than ever, my legs need to be deforested (I epilate and occasionally shave) more frequently, etc. So that might be a deterrent for some. That being said, the unexpected and exciting benefit was to my eyelashes! You know how sharks have rows of teeth? This stuff has given me an extra row or two of lashes! Not only that, but although the length is the same (they were always long), they are thicker and fuller.

While this is a good product for those who can handle taking such a high dose of it, please understand that things like this affect the HEALTH of your hair, skin, and nails--it does not, I repeat NOT affect how fast your hair or nails grow. This is proven fact here--there is no such thing as a vitamin, oil, shampoo, or anything that will make your hair grow faster. Your scalp is not a lawn. It may seem like your hair is growing faster either because you are noticing the growth more, OR because your hair becomes healthier so it looks like your hair grows faster (so if you had frizzy hair with split ends, and then started taking Biotin and had healthier hair, of course it will seem like it's growing faster). That being said, it will make your hair much healthier, especially if you pair it with a good diet, staying hydrated and an overall healthy lifestyle.Customer Review: Thicker Hair For Sure - It Worked

I got Nature's Bouty Biotin 5000mcg for my wife. After the birth of our twins, she wanted something to make her hair thicker. This worked and also made her nails thicker and stronger. The effect is noticable and people have commented that her hair looks thicker. I notice that the color of her hair is stronger, but she insists the color hasn't changed but just appears to have done so because it is now thicker.
Once I realized Biotin works, I looked around to see the deals. You might also check out this one, which I've also ordered:Spring Valley - Biotin 5000 mcg, Super Potency, 120 Capsules Nevertheless, you cannot go wrong with Nature's Bounty. It worked for us and so notably that there is no doubt on our part.

I have been using the "Nature's Bounty Super Potency Biotin 5000mcg Capsules" for years. I have had strong nails and hair. Then amazon started to sell these softgels in place of the capsules listed at the top of the page. I find they're not as effective as the capsules.
Also, why's genetically modified soybean oil in these softgels? What purpose does it serve? There's titanium dioxide color in it too - why it this there?
Can amazon get back to selling biotin in vegetable capsules please or at least make it clear that these are softgels, not capsules and list the ingredients.
