Customer Reviews of NatureBright PER3 Deluxe Light Therapy LampCustomer Review: I must have received a lemon Summary: 1 Stars
I loved this lamp at first. It took me a couple of days to figure out how to set it right but once I did it was very refreshing to wake up to in the morning. Unfortunately after about 3 or 4 weeks the sunrise feature broke and it would not increase beyond 10% lighting. I still used it but it was not nearly as effective. It was now more of a reading lamp. After about 7 months the lamp died completely. One day it worked fine (except of the sunrise feature) and the next day none of the LEDs would turn on anymore. Based one the reviews by others I must have gotten a dud but I think I'll consider getting something a little brighter next time around.
Customer Review: Reasonable Summary: 4 Stars
Thia lamp was a good buy. It is very bright and the light is pleasant. The size of the light however, is smaller than I expected. It is also tricky to angle it so that I wake up with the light shining directly on my face. It is good to manouvre however, and makes a great lamp for doing craft work. For people with SAD I am not sure that it will make a whole pile of difference, it didnt make that much difference with me, having said that I like the quality of the light and am happy to use it. For those with SAD the bigger lamps maybe more appropriate. I certainly would not rely on this as my main source of day light in winter.
Customer Review: Cute but not effective Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this product about 4 months ago before the SAD season. As a dawn simulator it is virtually useless since it does not gradually increase light but jumps from 10% to 100% at once.
For light therapy, it is painful to use because the LED's are so harsh on my eyes. I borrowed a light meter to check the LUX and it was under 2,000 LUX at about a foot, not 10,000 LUX unless the unit is about 4" from the meter.
I wish I had looked into what doctors recommend for light therapy before buying this product. It is an expensive desk lamp.
Customer Review: Excellent product Summary: 5 Stars
This lamp is multi-fuctional and easy to operate. It supplements waning sunlight during the winter months and also provides an excellent light source for studying, etc. The lamp is equipped with a timer and various light intensity setting. I thought it may be bulky, but the design is sleek. It has really helped with my seasonal blues. The sunrise waking function is FANTASTIC. Initially I was hesitant to purchase the lamp because of the price, but it has been worth every penny.
Customer Review: Nice, but could be better Summary: 3 Stars
I've had this lamp for about a year. I like it because of the dawn simulator, which really makes it easier to get up in the morning. But a few months ago about 6 of the LEDs started blinking. Sometimes it flashes like a strobe light and is very annoying. Because of this, I already need to replace it. I'm thinking of buying a regular dawn simulator that I can plug my own lamp into, to avoid further problems with bad quality bulbs/LEDs. Also, I find the LED lighting too harsh.
