This lamp might be helpful for SAD, but in terms of the promise for help with waking up....not for me. I sleep through it every morning, and then when its beeping does finally get my attention, I just roll over and turn it off. I thought the light would wake me up, but I've positioned it to shine directly in my face in the mornings and I still sleep through it. :( Perhaps not a problem with the product, but its user.Customer Review: Too Bright Too Stimulating

This didn't work out for me. I'm sensitive to SSRI (Anti-depressants/anti-anxiety medications). It makes me manic. So when I tried out the lamp, it gave me the same effect. I also get migraines, so the light was way too bright for me, even on the lower settings. I was nauseous. So take this into account, if this is like you too. To help my S.A.D. - I write, sing, dance, do projects and get up the minute the sunrises.Customer Review: Best of all worlds

I love the lamp. It is very feature rich and works exactly as advertised. However, I do recommend trying a vitamin D supplement, because that seemed much more effective for me, particularly to bring my sleeping hours back down from 10+ to 7 and waking up feeling rested and refreshed. (I take 400 IU in a multi-vitamin plus 400 IU in a Vitamin-D only supplement, but obviously consult with your doctor.)Customer Review: Works Like a Charm!

I love this lamp. I use the dawn feature to wake up each morning - it feels so much better then a blaring alarm. I keep the lamp above my head, on a book shelf style headboard. I feel the extra "daylight" time in the morning has a positive effect on my mood during the winter months.
The first lamp I recieved did not work right out of the box. Amazon replaced the lamp quickly and easily.
Customer Review: The buttons did not work for setting sunrise

The light output was good. I tried to set the sunrise, but the buttons did not respond. I read the directions carefully, tried two more times, had someone else in my house try, but it did not work for them either, so I sent it back. I asked them to send me another one but they did not read my letter and instead they sent me a refund.
