This is a great desk lamp whether or not you have SAD or need an alarm.
In my job I spend about half the time reading documents, the other half using a PC. Before I had the lamp, my eyes would be tired by lunch. Now my eyes feel fresh at lunch, and only a little tired at the end of the day. The design is a bonus.

It is easy to set-up,and program. I was warned it may be unstable and was pleased at it's stability. It is a gentler way to wake up, and we just passed the longest night and shortest day. We haven't used it long enough to notice mood effects. Lighted area could be more diffuse or wide-spread for reading.Customer Review: Poor SAD light

I purchased this product some time back and had stored it away because of disatisfaction with the LED lights. Some lights had burned out while others pulsed like strobe lights before they too burned out. I liked the concept but the performances leaves a lot to be desired.Customer Review: Love it!

I love the versitility of this little lamp! I checked out other products for light therapy and this product serves that purpose but can also function as a desk lamp. I also like very much the "sunrise" and "sunset" features and the timer. The price was right!Customer Review: Light Therapy Lamp

The LED lights in this desk lamp provide a very nice non-glare additional light for your desk surface. Much better than any regular bulb desk lamp. However, there is no way to know if this light or any other similar product has an affect on SAD.
