I have been using the Neil-Med Sinus Rinse everyday Sept 2007 and It has really cut down on my Sinus Infections. In 2007, I had 4 sinus infections! Since I started using the rinse, in 2008, I only had ONE(big difference). If you think about it, we clean our ears, we brush our teeth, we clean just about everything EXCEPT our noses and our noses are one of the body parts that can get really nasty so it makes sense to me to rinse it out every now and then or even everyday! I like using the squeeze bottle that neil med provides rather than the neti pot which I always found awkward to use. The Solution packets are great because it is the perfect measurement. Most of my family also suffers from allergies and sinus problems and I have now turned on many of them to this great product! Neil Med Sinus rinse is the natural way to cut down on your sinus and allergy problems and is also a very inexpensive way! Amazon has the best deal on the two box combo for the solution packets, you wont find it cheaper elsewhere!Customer Review: Reduces snoring

I had read about and researched the Netipot and all the claims about using it. So I purchased a netipot and a NeilMed Sinus Rinse Bottle. The NeilMed bottle is much easier and less mess. I had used it for about 3 days when my husband desided he wanted to try one (I had bought one for each of us...no sharing). He did not like the sensation and said that he was not going to use it again. Well, that night he did not snore. Best sleep I have had in years. The next night he DID use it again (with slight urging from me). I can always tell when he has not used it in a couple days because I cannot hear the TV over his racket. BEST product I have bought in a very long time. The NeilMed pre-mix packets are great for either the netipot or NeilMed bottle. No burning. And there is no residual smell like there is after using the packets that came with the Netipot. I have been suffering from Chronic Sinusitis, Sinus heaches, Dry nose etc which become worse in winter, since years.
Yesterday I went to an ENT doctor who prescribed me this nasal irrigation system invented in India few thousand years ago. Initially I was very reluctant about the product that was being sold over the counter in all the leading pharmacies like CVS, Riteaid, Walgreens etc. I thought it was another ripoff scheme or a Sham.
When this was prescribed to me by a well known ENT doctor I thought that this method would hold some validity and tried it for first time yesterday. And the result was shocking...For the first time in a very long time I thought I could breathe normally. I have heard that you have to use this irrigation system regularly whether you have sinuses or not.
One note though you should not expect a miracle I am confident with just one time use that this product will help me definitely.

I have had allergy shots which helped but did not solve my sinus issues. So I need to irrigate. I notice some reviewers commented that after buying a system with packets they switched to plain salt water (whether with the squeeze bottles or the Neti Pots). That is fine for some, but not for me, because regular salt water burns my nostrils and makes things worse. The Pre-Mixed Packets are a blessing. Irrigation is not magic, but if done regularly and properly, it is a very helpful part of a healthy nasal cleaning regime, just like flossing is for dental hygiene. I really wish I didn't also have to brush my teeth, sometimes use special oral rinses, etc, but then I don't like spending money at the dentist. Similarly, I prefer not to get sinus infections, and make special trips to my doctor because of them. I agree with others that this system is a fast and effective system; far faster than using a Neti pot, which I continue to be a fan.
I have one problem with this system that I stopped me from using it more frequently; there was too much pressure to my Eustachian tubes. This nasal rinse requires some amount of pressure to squeeze the solution upwards into your sinuses. This pressure, for me, even the lightest I could manage, too often caused my ears to get a full "swimmers ear" feeling. While my sinuses felt better quickly, the hollow ear feeling was an uncomfortable side effect.
The Neti pot never has affected my ears in this same way, so I continue to use it instead of the squeeze bottles, but still use the Neti pot with the saline packets included with this kit.
