Customer Reviews of Neutrogena Wave Power-Cleanser and Deep Clean Foaming PadsCustomer Review: Works Great! Summary: 5 Stars
Okay, first off I know that this is gonna be weird to hear. But I'm a guy and I use the Neutrogena Wave. No, I'm not gay, lol. I've had acne probably since I was 13 and I'm 20 now and now that I'm out of my teen years it's starting to go away, but I still get zits now and again. In particular I don't get the conventional white head or black head zits, I get cystic acne. Those are the large deep zits that are the most painful and take quite a long time to pop and go away, and are very hard to treat. I didn't realize how well this product was working till I ran out of the cleansing pads for about a week and my face started to break out. This thing does work wonders. It cleans deep into the pores and really does keep those big nasty zits from forming. I still get a few zits now and again, but they are very small and hardly noticeable. I really hope this product stays in circulation, but the pads are becoming harder and harder to find, and I fear Neutrogena may discontinue the wave :/. Anyway, this product may not work wonders for everyone, but it's certainly helped me. And I've used about every single acne treatment out there. Oxy, Clearasil, Proactiv, Murad, SkinID, no help really. Proactiv did the best, but only okay. I currently use Clean & Clear + this, and my face is really clear. I highly recommend this to anyone with cystic acne. It really does help them go away.
Customer Review: Fairly effective cleanser, but not a miracle Summary: 3 Stars

Perhaps I didn't read the description of this product too clearly. For some reason I was under the impression that the cleansing head of the device rotated or moved in some way (I think the description of "gentle massaging action" gave me this idea). Instead what the set consists of are pads saturated with cleanser that are placed on the device head, which vibrates. I am not sure what the vibration effect has other than temporarily stimulating blood flow to the skin. Other reviewers mention that they found it relaxing...I really did not.
The product contained in the cleansing pads themselves was a somewhat effective, low lathering cleanser, which had a nice fragrance. It seems that using the pads manually would almost have a better effect that using them with the device. My skin felt smoother, but I'm not sure if this was the result of the pad texture or the cleansing product itself.
In short, I would give four stars to the product, 2 stars to the battery operated device. If the pads themselves were available separately in a more hand friendly size, I *might* consider purchasing them in that way to use manually.
Customer Review: Loved it...great skin cleansing/smoothing tool! Summary: 5 Stars

The Neutrogena WAVE is a electric cleanser and deep cleaning-foaming pads (14 day supply included along with a 1 AA battery). The gadget cleans deeply using deep pore cleansing tingly foam. The vibrating motion of the pad stimulates the skin's surface with a massaging action to open pores and remove more dirt than your regular manual scrub. Also, the textured pads subtlely sweep away dead skin cells. My thirty-something wife and my ten-something daughter absolutely LOVED IT! There are immediate results: softer, smoother skin after just the first use. My daughter suffers from rough skin patches, which the WAVE treats very successfully. To use the Wave, simply install a disposable single pad to the head and push the switch to turn it on. You hold the water resistant power-cleanser under running water, and a light foam appears from the pad. Move the pad over your face, to massage the foam into your pores to remove dirt and makeup. The Wave is gentle enough to use daily. Don't apply to close to the eye area, though. One complaint my wife had was some initial difficulty locking the AA battery in place.
Customer Review: This should be more clearly labeled on the box Summary: 5 Stars
I have been using exfoliator pads (like the buf-puf) on and off for years. That's always given me a fresh, pore scrubbed, deep clean feeling. I decided to try a new skin cleaning regimen by using this device, as it promises to clean 10x better than normal methods. I figured this would be as good as what I have been using if not better due to the vibrations that should essentially go deeper than any superficial cleaning I already do.
I am probably writing this review prematurely because I just used it for the first time tonight, but I will update in the future if I encounter any specific problems worth mentioning. My face does feel soft, possibly softer than when I use my exfoliator pads. It is easy to use, and it does foam up enough to clean your face. The only issue I am having is that I noticed my face felt tight. My face hasn't felt like this in a long time, so I looked around online, and turns out all the cleansing pads for the Wave have some salicylic acid in them. I stopped using anything with salicylic acid years ago cause of this dry feeling I get. It would be nice if Neutrogena made pads with a very basic deep cleanser. In the meantime, I am going to use this with a moisturizer and see how that goes. I will also probably figure out a way to use my own cleanser with some different pads.
Customer Review: A really poor choice Summary: 1 Stars

I don't usually buy drugstore cosmetics - in fact I don't usually buy skincare containing synthetic ingredients; however this product was offered to me to try and I thought perhaps it would be useful to have, for those days when you need a facial but you really don't have the time!
I was very disappointed. First of all, I definitely woulnd't call it a "Power Cleanser", as it barely vibrates at all and doesn't do a ery impressive job - I get much better results from a weekly face scrub followed by a toner (I like, respectively, Suki and Pangea Organics).
Second: the cleanser is recommended for daily use, and since the pads are disposable and non-reusable that would mean discarding one pad a day - quite a waste, especially nowadays, when we are more aware of the efforts needed to protect the environment.
Third: the amount of synthetic ingredients in the pads is, frankly, staggering. Who would want to use something like this daily? I really like Neutrogena makeup and some of their older products so I'm very disappointed with what really looks to be a poor quality product.
