This shampoo and conditioner works. But you can't use it for just a few weeks and expect improvement. I have been using it for about a year now and it took a good six months before I really saw a decrease in my hair loss.
Now, after using this for so long, I have noticed that I tend to shed more hair in the summer and not so much in the winter. This allows me to occasionally alternate my shampoo in the winter since this is expensive stuff!
I think that the results are very individual. This will work better for some people than for others. But if you are going to try it, be prepared to give it a few months and if you have color treated hair, be sure to use the correct number (3, I think?) because the regular formula WILL strip your color out. This is a clarifying shampoo, after all...
For me, this is the only thing that works.

Sneaking in under my radar, right above my brow, my hairline started to recede a couple of years ago. So I started using Nioxin's clear gel on my hair line at least every other day. That helped slow down the recession going on on my scalp, but now I wanted to have hair my bounce back to its former and rightful place on my scalp. The woman who does my hair had been using Nioxin on my scalp for at least a year, and because I only go to her every six weeks for a relaxer touch up, she suggested I buy Nioxin Scalp Therapy and Shampoo. I have been using the product for about 4 months on a weekly basis and I am beginning to notice my hair coming back. You must be patient but you will start seeing results.Customer Review: My hairstylist said its the best!

I used to use this product and of course like all women struggling with sudden thinning hair complex i gave up a week later thinking that any product would show difference in a week. I shouldnt have done that and neither should you if you ready to see the difference. All my hairstylists, and all my friends and their mothers been using this product and nothing but this product and results are amazing. That is why i bought a set 3 again and since i had TWO washes only so far, i noticed no hair on my pillow unlike a month ago when i constantly collected a bunch. I can imagine how strong and think looking my hair will be in TWO MONTH. I will make sure i follow up with my review. :)Customer Review: My "go to" shampoo

I've used this quality product for years continuously-- only switch occasionally if I run out during travel. Doesn't strip hair color and feels good on the scalp. I don't know that it really helps with hair growth or does anything really miraculous, but it is a consistently good and gentle product that I know won't make the problem worse. I do use other conditioners-- usually the more intense kind that are supplied with hair color, but it is a good daily product.
Pricey if you buy from a salon, so Amazon can usually offer a much better deal.

This product seems to deliver on its promises. I've used the shampoo and conditioner for several weeks now and have noticed a dramatic decrease in the amount of hair loss after each wash. My hair seems to feel and appear thicker, and it has much more body. I love how clean my hair feels after each shampoo. It is a little bit drying, though. I've had to use a deep conditioner on the ends a few times a week or so to suppliment. All in all, I am very pleased with the results I'm seeing.
