When I first tried this product, I thought I'd been mislead: The formula is an odd smelling gel that is in no way thick or shape-holding. It's very liquidy. It also seems to disappear after you put it in, and your hair feel rubbery, especially when you wash it out.
But here's the thing: It actually works!!! I used this immediately after undergoing the color-removal process, and it resealed my porous, vulnerable hair. It even prevented my ends from splitting.
I realize that it's very pricey, but it's totally worth it. Nexxus is expensive because they pay human volunteers to salon test their products, thus skipping the evil animal testing step. So when you buy this, know that your indulgence will leave you with great hair and no guilt.

I purchased this product about 3 months ago and it is a miracle in a bottle. My hair was breaking off for unknown reasons. After the first use, I noticed my hair stopped breaking. I use this product every two weeks on my relaxed hair. The key is to wash your hair with your regular shampoo, rinse and then put Emergencee on. Leave it on for at least 5 minutes. (Once I went outside and did a little shopping and came back.) Wash the product out with water only, then shampoo your hair again and condition and style as usual. My hair is stronger, healthier, and bouncier then it has ever been. When I comb my hair in the shower or out of the shower there is little or no breakage. I could go on and on about this product. I have used this product previously. It is really great when your hair is dry and brittle from the weather or swimming, etc.
However I ordered this product in mid-July. It is now mid-August. I haven't received it and no one wants to take responsibility for losing my package. The Postal Service says FedEx and FedEx says Postal Service. The Postal Service states they are having problems with FedEx scanning a package and not delivering it. Of course, my statement is, why are you wanting the customer to run down your FedEx problem? I won't be ordering from amazon.com anymore. Its too much of a hassle.

If you have problem hair, this I can honestly recommend. I use it aprox. once every two weeks (as is advised in the directions), and I can FEEL its strength even as I apply it from my hands. My hair instantly feels stronger and more solid. I begin with shampooing as usual, applying the product and leaving it for a few minutes, then I rinse and follow up with my usual conditioner. This does what it says, although I think for hair such as mine (frizzy, dry, damaged), I'd really need to use it more than twice a week to see any very long-lasting benefits.Customer Review: Put it to the TEST!

I tried both the Nexxus Emergencee and the Kera Care Reconstructor. Both are pricey, but the Nexxus product left my hair strong and easier to style. I have fine, natural hair that was broken off due to relaxers, dyes, etc. If your hair is breaking off and feels dry to the touch, you need to give it a try. Two or three weeks and then every other week as needed. You will feel the difference. Always use with a good moisturing shampoo and conditioner with it.
