I started to notice I was losing a lot of hair in my late 40's. I think a lot of woman do. The problem got progressively worse. I was losing small handfuls in the shower. One day I got in my car with the sun roof open and could see down to my scalp...I mean my hair was looking like I was starting to go bald. I was mortified to say the least! My hairdresser suggested the nioxin shampoo and conditioner. I started using it but it didn't seem to be doing anything. Then I saw the nioxin vitamins online and after reading the reviews I decided to give them a try. After about three months, I was checking out my scalp in the mirror. I saw all these short thin hairs popping up out of my scalp. They were all the same length so I knew they weren't broken hairs. I was so excited. Today (one year later) I was pulling my hair back into a pony tail and I noticed that my hair felt a lot thicker. I've been taking the vitamins every day for a year and I realized that those short little hairs were about 6 inches long now and thus the thick pony tail! I'm a 50 year old female. I started losing my hair about 14 years ago, but this year, it started coming out in fistfuls. FISTFULS!!! Every shower, every hair brush, every time someone ran their hand thru my hair. It was awful. I felt embarrassed and depressed. I finally decided I had to do something. My hairdresser recommended Nioxin. I started taking those pills the same day I started using Rogaine. Nothing happened at first. Hair was still falling out at an alarming rate. After 2 weeks, I noticed my skin looked clearer. That was the Nioxin kicking in. After 2 months, I noticed that the hair that was growing was thicker. Again, the Nioxin. After about three and a half months... it happened. My hair stopped falling out. No fistfuls when I showered. No hairbrush full of hair after even the gentle-est hairbrushing. Then after 4 months, I noticed some of the little bald patches in front weren't bald anymore. Ladies, I can't even begin to tell you how joyful this is. My hair looks great! First of all I'm african american and have had issues with my hair growing since I moved to GA in 96' It would always grow shoulder length but not much more. I've also always had very little to no hair on front sides of head. I've tried the biotin supplements as well as NUMEROUS other hair, nail, skin vitamins and I never saw a difference. Well in Jan 2011 I decided to try yet another supplement, Nioxin. I must admit despite the rave reviews I was a little skeptical since everything else people claim to work never worked for me. WOW does this stuff work! Its only been a little under two months and I can see the difference. You can no longer see my scalp on the front side of my head. My hair has grown past my shoulders. I'm truly pleased with the product and will continue to use it. It's 1 small pill a day so the bottle lasts 3 months. Which is a relief compared to the horse pills and multiple pills I've had to take in the past. Oh yeah and like the other reviews YES IT GROWS ALL HAIR. So just know you will have to shave more often. But oh well Im just glad I found something that lives up to their claim.Customer Review: LOVEEEE.

Okay, so I have NEVER written a review for ANYTHING I have bought online, but I just have to for this product. I'm always skeptical of reading reviews because I'm worried they are fake; but I assure you, I'm a real person who bought this item based on the reviews that were already here. I'm on my second bottle.. I LOVE it. I'm 20 years old & have extremely damaged hair.. It began to fall out like crazy & took FOREVER to grow. I cut it to my shoulders back in May 2009 & it barely had barely grown 4 inches in a year & a half. I started to panic.. because I'm so young & it was just weird. SOOO I came across this stuff & decided what the heck.. I guess I'll try it. My hair grew about 3/4 of an inch in a month.. which is CRAZY & has me SO excited. I've tried literally everything.. INCLUDING Biotin supplements- they didn't work for me at all.. only made my skin a little clearer. SOOOOOO if you're looking for something to help your hair growth I HIGHLY recommend this. This stuff really works for hair growth, but it didn't make my hair thicker. I saw hair growth after the first month. I used it for ninety days, and it seems to work better when I massaged my scalp and used it along with essential oils such as jojoba, tea tree and lavender.
I am a 55 year old African American and I suffer from hair lost and hair thinning due to menopause and a history of "male" pattern baldness in my family. Overall this is a good product for hair growth, but this works much better with a good diet, plenty of water, a little scalp massage for 3 to 5 minutes a few times a week; you can do the scalp massage without the oils because this helps with blood circulation of the scalp in the thinning areas. My hair grew about twice as fast, and I saw more growth after 3 months.
