Anyone who has been struck with fear upon viewing the enlarging area of scalp that appears at the parting line as time marches on, could give this item a try. After several months usage of 3 of the items in the Nioxin system - the shampoo, conditioner and the leave-in treatment, my hair seems to be getting thicker. This is not a scientific study and may be a case of wishful thinking vs. awful reality. Nioxin, on both its products and its website, makes no claim to increasing hair growth. But in my case, using Minoxidil [which does work!] was no longer an option as I became allergic to the alcohol-based formula. Minoxidil would have been my drug of choice, but Nioxin may be a good option.
