Customer Reviews of Nivea For Men Energy Hair and Body Wash, 16.9-Ounce Bottle (Pack of 3)Customer Review: Just better than average Summary: 3 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
A decent body wash -- but nothing special.
The packaging is adequate -- a nice big bottle with an easy flip-top lid.
The scent is refreshing, generally man-like, a bit perfume-y (similar to old fashioned green Vitabath but with an added minty-ness) -- but the scent does not linger on my skin.
It is a clear blue gel, without obvious moisturizing components. It seems to neither dry nor moisturize my skin. There is a distinct but mild minty cool sensation on my skin as I wash with it.
I would purchase this again at a good price, but I would not seek it out over other gels.
Just a brief addition -- I recently saw a commercial for this product, and they basically said exactly what I did! Smells ok, gets you clean, and doesn't dry out your skin -- but don't expect a miracle.
Customer Review: Good body wash, but initial scent is VERY strong Summary: 4 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
This is a good body wash that lathers well and makes me feel clean, but I can't say I'm 100 percent in love with the scent. The smell is like a very strong cheap cologne or Gillette gel shaving cream (almost like mint and aloe). If you enjoy low-priced men's cologne and Gillette shaving cream and aftershave products then you will LOVE the smell of this body wash. That's not meant to be a negative statement ... I'm just being honest.
If you don't like the scent you don't have to worry because it wears off after about 30-60 minutes.
The Amazon price for the 3-pack is quite good and this body wash does a good job cleaning dirt and sweat off my body. I don't know if I feel more "energy" than when I use my old body wash, but this stuff is pretty good.
Customer Review: Real Life Tingle Summary: 5 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
No kidding, this stuff tingles. I've never used a cleansing product (you can't say soap because it isn't) that actually made my skin tingle when I was using it. This does. It has a decent scent. It lathered up very well in the shower. It rinsed off well. My skin actually tingled a bit while I was using it and I felt a bit less dry and cracked for the rest of the day. No kidding!
One complaint. Could someone please design a body wash bottle that doesn't have a tapered body and a rounded head. When you get near the end of this, balancing it in the corner of the shower shelf so that it pools at the business end is going to be a real pain.
Everything else about this body wash is exactly as described. It's worth trying out.
Customer Review: NIVEA BODY WASH FOR MEN: REFRESHING WITH A LIGHT SCENT Summary: 5 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
Five BRACING Stars!! Nivea has entered the male body wash market with a solid winner: "Nivea for Men-Energy-Body Wash with Mint Extracts". In a crowded and highly competitive field, this is a refreshing body wash with a temporary tingle, probably from the mint extracts or menthol and it has a light pleasant minty aroma that doesn't dominate, allowing one to use cologne without a conflict. Billed as a "soap-free formula with mint extracts" it is claimed it "will clean your skin, leaving you refreshed and energized." However it does it, I tried it both as a hand wash and as a body wash and IT WORKS. I would readily buy this product. Highly Recommended. Five INVIGORATING Stars! (16.9 fluid ounces in an upright plastic container)
Customer Review: I feel clean afterwards ... Summary: 4 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
... what more could you ask for? Nivea for Men smells good -- a kind of minty cologne aroma, that is not too heavy, goes on smoothly and lingers only lightly afterwards. It doesn't feel soapy and washes off easily -- perhaps a bit too easily: so that if you rub it on in the shower it seems to wash off before it can do any work. I've found the best way is to put it on a sponge or a loofah or wash cloth and then it lathers up while you rub it on and that seems to do the trick. I like it, it keeps me clean and doesn't leave a residue like soap does. Is it energizing, as the name seems to claim? Well, I feel fresh afterwards and that is about all you could expect. I'll keep using it.
