I've always liked Nivea products, since they seem more in tune with the performance of their product than with any flashy image (like the vomitous Axe ads and commercials). Nivea Energy Body Wash is a good, solid product with a subtle scent of mint. It lathers well (just one good glob is enough to wash your whole body), and leaves your skin feeling smooth and clean afterwards. And it has the Nivea name, which has always ensured a standard of high quality. The subtlety of the scent and lack of any gimmicky menthol means that you're not going to feel any tingling on your skin (or in your nostrils), but you're going to get a healthy clean out of it, and isn't that the point?Customer Review: Cleansing wash with no drying effect

I've generally been a bar soap user, and can't say I've tried lots of body washes. I found the Nivea for Men Energy Wash offers effective cleansing with the added benefit of leaving your skin feeling nourished and moisturized. The fragrance is pleasant enough, with a pronounced mint component, but it's not likely to "wow" your senses or provide an "energy" boost, as the hype seems to suggest.
I also tried the wash in the bath, and found it didn't leave a ring in the tub like regular soap. That's a definite bonus.
If you're looking for refreshing cleansing without drying out your skin, Nivea for Men Energy Body Wash fits the bill.

This Energy Body Wash was my first real experience with a non-bar type of soap, and I have to say it was a good one--the soap has a nice, "man"-like scent (kind of like a lot of aftershaves), and it always leaves my skin feel moisturized, rather than like all the hydration was sucked out. After using it I'd probably say I still prefer bar soap--it's easier to get even soap distribution on my body with a bar, and the body wash can slide right off your hands before it starts to foam. A loofah would definitely help out with this stuff, but I like to keep my shower accessories to a minimum!Customer Review: Your slightly better than average body wash

Nivea For Men Energy Body Wash was a slight disappointment for me. I was expecting sometime extraordinary but what I got was a slightly above average body wash. The soap felt nice against my skin but I didn't receive any extra "energy" or a nice lasting fragrance. I smelled kind of mediciney afterwards. Overall, it is a different kind of wash to say the least. I wouldn't go out of my way to purchase something like this, but it's not that bad of a product. In other words, this kind of stuff isn't my cup of tea.
Recommended for men who purchase Nivea products.

I've used Nivea's face wash for years, so it isn't much of a surprise that this new body wash for men is a good product as well. I caution against being taken in by soaps claiming to be "energizing" and invigorating. Honestly, that's just silliness and marketing. However, on a basic level, it's a good-smelling body wash in a bottle that doesn't leak, which is perfectly suited for taking to the gym. All I really need to give this the thumbs-up, though, is my wife's seal of approval. When I use this stuff, she says I smell nice. That's good enough for me.
