Customer Review: Umm..its misleading!

Hello folks. Im a person with very dry sensitive skin and I have to tell you..Doing your homework on skin moisturizers is exhausting! Glycerine is advertised as a " humectant" which is supposed to draw moisture INTO your skin. I want to educate you a bit. Glycerine does draw moisture to the skin but it does not absorb into your skin where you need the moisture! Glycerine is actually a drying agent from what I have read. I have used goats milk based soaps that have had coconut oil added to them along with vitamin E and cocoa butter and all that moisturizing stuff. I get out of the shower and my skin STILL feels taught and like the soap has removed all the oils from my skin. Im really sick of these products misleading people causing a consumer to feel like they have been bamboozled! If you are really looking to moisturize your skin ..try acetylated lanolin and grapeseed oils . Stay away from petrolatum products and mineral oils. Lanolin will actually absorb into your skin. To educate you a bit further...lanolin is called an oil but its considered a wax in scientific terms but its a natural product extracted from wool that they shear from sheep. Sheep secrete this oil from certain glands and it coats the sheeps fur (wool) to keep the moisture in. Make sure you test a small area of your skin to be sure you arent allergic to it which should be a common practice for any natural or man made substance. My advice to everyone is before you go out and buy these products ...do some homework and try to spend your money wisely. Product advertising is big business and most of the time the information you are given is misleading. I recommend lanolin because it is a natural product. I hope this advice helped someone out there to make a less complicated decision..I am really sick of buying things that dont work and trial and error only costs us all wasted money that most of us really dont have
