I discovered Larabars at Whole Foods and now it is the only fruit bar I will eat. And I have tried other Larabar flavors (cherry, lemon, chocolate, cashew) but this is my favorite. I also have tried Luna bars and Pure bars but because of price or ingredients, I stopped eating both. I do my best to choose foods with whole, unprocessed ingredients and the pecan larabar only as "dates, pecans, almonds." I could eat one a day, but at $1.29, they can be a little pricey. I like to put healthy foods into my body and I am happy that companies, such as thing one, can produce such a tasty item!
It's sweet and you get that surprising crunch from the good-for-you nut!
That being said, I would like to see some larabars not have dates in them. Due to my struggles with acne, dates are very high in glycemic and they do cause inflammation. I haven't found a larabar without dates and this is a shame because I really like them! A little more variety (using the fruit base as something else) would be appealing.
Overall, a great product and I recommend these to all my friends and family!
