This is nothing like the original flagship CK Obsession. Get that outta your head right now! They are both orientals, but that's where the similarities end.
This is a heavier, muskier fragrance than the original, and not nearly as sweet. It starts out with a pear top note. Kinda fruity. It quickly settles down to the musky and woodsy core notes. There are some nice nutmeg and patchouli notes thrown in.
I like this stuff as a winter scent. It is comforting, and sometimes even has a relaxing effect on me. The only possible downside is its longevity on the skin -- maybe four or five hours as compared to three days for the original Obsession. ~;-)
