Recently herniated a disc in my back. The cushion did not help pre surgery for me much, I was in a lot of pain that just couldn't be helped. Post surgery though, it has been a godsend. In the computer chair, or while driving, it absorbs a lot of the downward strain on your lower back. I have even carried it into restaurants for better comfort. Its worth a try, especially if you are desperate for some instant relief while sitting. I even know some pilots that use this to supplement their uncomfortable seat cushions, they just throw this in on top of it and take off. Recommended.Customer Review: Maybe I shouldn't review this...

I gave a neutral 3/5 since I never actually sat on this thing the way it came to me. I needed enough gel to construct an insert for a motorcycle seat, and it's hard to find just plain old gel for sale. This thing had enough in it that I got my project complete, but I was surprised at how thin the gel was. I guess a little goes a long way. Have owned one going on well over two years now. Weigh close to 170 and cushion has never flattened out. Use it to supplement the built in cushion of my office chair. Fantastic cushion! Can go a twelve to sixteen hour day at my desk in a leather highback rated for eight max without getting uncomfortable. Am looking to get another because I know this one can't last forever, even though its still in great shape with little sign of wear.Customer Review: Just a cushion

Nothing special. Just a cushion. I fell for the "will solve all your problems and pay for your kids college" shpiel, but honestly a $14 one will do just the same. May be this one looks a little better if you want to pay extra $30 for the visual appeal. vERY comfortable, make sure your car seat will allow proper fit and securing of the gel seat.
If its for your car, there are straps to secure it, but your model of car and seat may not allow use of the straps, so sometimes it slides around a bit.
It is good for long drives, and maintaining proper posture, relieves soreness on those sore gluteus muscles. Its worth the cost....
