I ordered this product to drown out the dogs' barking while my baby is sleeping. My baby has slept through most of the house noises since we've had this machine.
It is extremely simple to use right out of the box. All I had to do was plug it in, turn it on, and I could listen to a sampling of the noises that this machine offers. There is white noise, waterfall, rainstorm, thunderstorm, tropical birds, rainforest, and others.
The power button is right on top--easy to access when I'm sneaking into the baby's room to turn the machine off at night. The wheel on the front of the machine controls the volume.
The machine is inexpensive and easy to use.

We ordered this Obus Sound Therapy System to take on a vacation stay at a hotel where one person staying snores. It worked great. It drowns out any sounds you need and is so easy to take with you. Its small and can be used with batteries when needed.
We then took it to our boat and use it when staying in the slip at the docks, while others in their boats are loud and up late.
We also purchased a second one for our daughter and her family. They have twin baby girls and they were waking each other up. This has been perfect for them and now they use it for all naps and at night.
This has a good selection of sound and the white noise is what we use the most.

My husband has the fan on all summer long, and I didn't realize that the sound helped me go to sleep until summer ended and the fan was turned off. I read about sound machines and researched many of them. This one had good reviews and wasn't too expensive. It looks like some kind of flying saucer, but does exactly what I want it to - that odd front grill is actually the volume. You can either set the 60-minute timer, or just leave the sound on until it's turned off. There are enough sounds to choose from that we easily found one that agreed with us both. So now, no cold air blowing on us, but we still have help going to sleep!Customer Review: Great sleep helper

This machine looks the same as Homedics one. However, it is $29.95 vs Homedics $19.95. The extra $10 is well worth it. It is better than Homedics one in two ways: (1) It still has a slight background noise at the extreme low volume. However, it is very light. It is much lighter than Homedics one. So, it does not bother me. Homedics one has a louder noise. (2) The sound seems to be clearer than Homedics one.
Again, I am not 100% sure that the difference is cause by the individual units that I received or not. But for me, I had both of them. And clearly, Obus Forme one is better.

This is a good sound machine to help you feel relaxed and fall asleep. It has 10 digital nature sounds which are realistic and don't sound tinny. The 3"-inch speaker has very good quality and deep sound, and the volume goes up a lot so you have adequate sound range in your room. The unit is attractive, easy to use, well-designed, with large buttons that work well. Yet it's also small enough to fit on the edge of your night table or shelf ledge. I am very happy with this model and would buy it again. Especially because the reasonable price makes it a good value.
