I purchased this machine initially for my husband. When he works night shifts it is great to drown out the noise of our toddler running around the house while he's trying to slepp. I will be purchasing another one since I move it between our daughter's room and our bedroom. It is great for her naptime when the lawn service always seems to be mowing outside her window. We use the "white noise" feature and it's great!Customer Review: great idea sound chip needs work

This was probably the 5th sound machine I've tried. This one, like every other one I've purchased shorts out within the first two days. It sounds crackly, like how when a speaker get's blown but I never turned the volume up past 2. I've tried every machine I've found that has the pre-recorded sounds and every one of them has had this malfunction. Our old sound machine failed and we purchased this one. It worked well for a few days and then I noticed a ticking noise. This occurred on all sound sources and was enough to wake us up. I do not know if this was just a defect in our unit or a generic problem with the product. I returned it and am now searching for a different system as I do not want to take the chance again.Customer Review: Almost perfect but value is very good

My wife asked for a sound machine for Christmas and I decided on this one. I notice none of the "Loop" flaws, no feedback. Wife loves it. I myself would have preferred recordings of actual sounds instead of the synthesized ones. That being said, it works wonders and the intended recipient is very happy. Also like the auto shut off feature.Customer Review: Over priced

The sound machine has been a great asset. It has made bedtime for my 4-yr old much easier for both of us. However, I have since found the identical product, under a more well-known manufacturer's name for 1/2 the price at Wal-mart. Though I would still shop on Amazon, I will certainly research prices at other retailers first.
