Customer Review: Nice Product - a Bit Greasy

The Olay Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum is sort of a mixed-use cream. On one hand, it's not the super-expensive use-by-the-drop eye cream that is typically sold in the tiniest bottle on the planet. On the other hand, it's not a more casual face cream that you would slather on your entire face, at least not at the prices they ask for it. This falls somewhere in the middle. It's not meant for near-eye use - Olay has a Regenerist eye lifting serum for that task. Rather, this regenerating serum is meant to be used at other wrinkle spots that don't require the super-special eye cream. Eye skin tissue is VERY delicate - where the wrinkles on your forehead and mouth are not quite so delicate.
I use the fragrance free variety, because I don't want anything that near to my nose to be putting off aromas all day long. It is indeed fragrance free, which is nice. I use the serum on my forehead, and under my chin. Those are where, for me, I need the most help keeping my skin in its best shape.
The price is of course a down side, but again it's meant for special care; it's not meant to be a full body lotion. You use this where your skin is in need of some TLC and attention. However, having said that, I find that it's just a little too greasy for me. Where the eye serum is wonderfully light and goes great with the delicate eye skin, this serum should have been slightly more thick but with the same grease-free feeling. Instead, I find the greasiness to be uncomfortable on my face. It makes me feel like I need to go wash my face to get the "slime" off. I therefore only use this at night, when I fall asleep soon afterwards and let the serum nourish my skin until I wake up again.
Well recommended, although I'll keep testing lotions in this price range to see if I find something else of similar quality but with a less greasy feel to it.

I've been using this serum for at least 6 years. I love the fact that Olay eventually came out with this fragrance-free version, that in itself is a huge selling point for me. And it works! Most people think I'm at least 15 years younger than I really am. I have a few very fine wrinkles only when I squint, and that's it.
I am a normal-to-dry skin type in the winter and normal during the other seasons. This serum really helps keep my skin hydrated with the harsh winter winds, and in the summer sometimes this is all I need as a moisturizer if I'm not going to be outdoors - otherwise I also apply a high SPF product if I plan on being outside.
Yes, the silicones in this help with the dryness and they also help to blur the fine lines. I also use a dab of this on my crows feet. But you may need to watch out if you have a problem with milia. I occasionally get a few, but I do with just about every other product I have tried so it doesn't matter what I use. I like the results with this; I've tried other brands without the "cones" and they just don't work for me.
This serum contains many ingredients that are beneficial to your skin such as peptides, niacinamide, several vitamins and green tea, which are often found in much higher priced beauty products.
Pros: Hydrating; almost instant blurring of wrinkles due to the silicones; great ingredients; no discernable fragrance.
Cons: The silicones can cause milia occasionally; Olay tests on animals and this bothers me & I wish they would find another way to test their products before putting them on the market -- other companies do, why can't Olay?
I recommend this for anyone with normal or normal-to-dry skin. If you have a problem with acne, probably not, but maybe if you are brave enough, you could do a test first.

This serum is so different. It is better than all the moisturizers i've used put together! I don't seem to have great success with a lot of products and i had begun to give up hope anything would work for me - luckily i still had it in me (and the cash) to not give up.
I suddenly have allergies and i am constantly blowing my nose so my nostrils are drying out but this serum really helps. When i apply it my skin feels so soft. I can only imagine how soft it will get when i use longer.
I use olay's microdermabrasion kit after it i apply this serum - i am SO impressed.
I have sensitive skin that often flares up from makeup and other moisturizers but my skin has reacted beautifully to Olays products. The price is a bit steep (i am a college student) but so worth it. Instead of spending money on inferior products, splurge and buy this. It is worth every penny.
I have fallen in love with Olay.
This product i will use forever!

I have used this product for about a month and my skin feels much smoother. I wash my face minimally now only using apricot scrub in the shower. My face feels good but when i apply this serum, it feels even better. I have reduced breakouts and my new smooth skin that has encouraged me to wear makeup regularly again. Before this stuff, i didn't wear more than some loose powder occasionally. Now i stepped it up wearing tinted moisturizer and powder regularly and my skin still looks smooth. I love touching my skin and i feel much more confident in the condition of my skin.
Thank you Olay! I will be using Olay for the rest of my life. Considering i am 19 - that's a long time! :)

Good for WRINKLES, ACNE SCARS AND OVERALL SKIN IMPROVEMENT! I love this stuff!
I've been using Olay Regenerating Serum (Fragrance Free) twice a day for one week now and I already have amazing results.
I bought this serum to use under my eyes only. I've had severe dark undereye circles since I was born and I'm also extremely sensitive to sunlight. I'm only 24 but I noticed that I squint my eyes a lot--so I wanted to use this for preventative wrinkle maintenance.
When I noticed how soft and smooth the skin under my eyes became, I decided to use it on my entire face. Unfortunately, I also have sensitive skin and it made me break out a little bit on my chin and forehead (my oily areas) but not on my cheeks (my dry areas). So I continued using it only under my eyes and on my cheeks.
After one week, the dark acne scars on my cheeks have almost disappeared. My cheeks are soft and vibrant for the first time in 10 years. The skin under my eyes is still dark, but the condition of it has drastically improved. My undereye skin used to be dry and rough, now it's smooth and my concealer goes on better than ever before. I look bright-eyed and well-rested now.
I've been using Proactiv for four months now, and I've been taking pictures of my acne scars and have seen no difference until I started using Olay Regenerating Serum. In one week it faded more of my acne scars than Proactiv could in four months!
For you girls who have sensitive, acne-prone skin, don't worry. You can still use this product! Just be sure to avoid the oiliest areas of your face.

Customer Review: Sensitive skin? Read this!

I am 39 years old and have very sensitive skin, and because of that I had been using fragrance-free products by Clinique. I always thought I looked pretty young until I saw a picture of myself at 29. My skin was so much better looking! After doing some research I decided to give this a try based upon the favorable reviews, low cost and the fact that it's fragrance free. (Perfumed lotions make me sneeze).
After one use, I noticed a few things. My skin did tingle slightly for a couple of hours, but it wasn't painful; just mildly annoying. But there was no rash or irritation. My cheeks looked a bit red, however it appeared more like a natural tint. The second thing I noticed is that my skin almost immediately looked better! I know that sounds crazy. I also didn't need to put on any blush because of the tint I mentioned. As the day wore on, the tingling went away. (I also started using Neutrogena Light Night Cream for a moisturizer- it's fragrance-free, and doesn't have sunscreen which I don't need every day.)
I applied it the next morning again and noticed the same things. I decided to try it every other day and have to say I REALLY notice a difference! My skin looks almost as good as my pic from ten years ago.
I think the minor discomfort I mentioned is due to my sensitivity to most products, but because I am so pleased with the results I'm sticking with it.
Update: After using this for a week I no longer have any sensitivity and my skin is incredibly soft and luminous! I would change this to five stars but I am unable to edit that portion.
