I purchased this soap as well as several other brands for my boyfriend for Christmas 2008. After sniffing and poking all of the soaps he chose to try this one first. He travels alot so he put it in a more travel friendly container. He's been using it almost daily for 9 months and he loves it. I have also used it occasionally for shaving my legs,it leaves my skin soft and smelling nice (like him). He has already told me that he has no desire to try the other soaps. I am posting this review with 5 stars for him.
I had also purchased 2 Crema di Sapone Almond shaving soaps, I have been using it to shave my legs and I like it just as much as the Omega, I am hoping I can talk my boyfriend into at least trying his bar of Crema di Sapone once he has used his Omega.
Personally - I give 5 stars to both Omega and Crema di Sapone Almond.

I switched to DE shaving about 6 months ago and had started out with Col Conk's shave soaps (the amber and almond varieties). This feels like a nice step up in quality. The scent is nice, not too strong, just sort of "pleasantly clean" smelling. It lathers a little easier than the Conk's soaps, possibly because the soap is quite a bit softer, I think it loads onto the brush better. Once on the face, the lather holds up well, and keeps the razor sliding smoothly. As the lather is shaved off there's a tingly cooling effect that's very nice. Best of all, since switching to this I've noticed fewer cuts and less irritation. It's hard not to think of this as an excellent performer, especially when cost is factored in. Gotta love those Italians! When it comes to shaving soap, they have the edge. I, like a small number of Americans wet shave. That is where you use a shaving soap and brush to moisten your whiskers prior to shaving. In doing so, I have tried several different kinds of shaving soaps searching for the perfect one that allows me to obtain a close shave where it is impossible to feel a whisker after the shave. Only one shaving soap to date has allowed me this luxury and that is Omega. I don't know their secret but suspect the oils used hold some clues. I do know I have a supply of it to last me for the next few years. That is how much I like it.Customer Review: it's a cream

this is essentially the exact same lather as the proraso shaving cream. even though the item claims to be a soap on amazon, it's actually a granny sort of cream--it even says so on the case. so if you have used proraso products and wish to pay less money, get this cream. it's very good. does have that tingling sensation which feels nice. i consider myself to have sensitive, but this was fine. i read another review talking about the subject, this is a quality product that gives you a nice rich creamy lather and protects very well the skin.Customer Review: Great for sensitive skin.

I got this soap about one week ago and have used it several times. It is much more than I expected, it lathers nicely, has a great smell, and best of all it does a great job of protecting my sensitive skin. I have used Edge gel for sensitive skin since 1979; well no longer. This along with my 100% boar brush will be a staple for me from now on, I wish I had come across this before. If you have sensitive skin buy this soap you will not be disapointed.
