I recieved the scale right when they said it would. It was well packed. Opened the scale and it looked liked its picture. Read the instructions. I had no hard time at all setting tne scale up for my wife. Only took a few minutes. My wife used the scale the following morning. We still had our old scale to see if the new one was close to what the old one said. She went to the doctors a few days ago and was weighed by there scale and the new one was right on. The old scale was off by a few pounds. The BMI readings was easy to understand by reading the instructions. They have a chart to compare to see how you rate. When she steps off the scale the readings stay on long enough so that you can get all your info. I recommend this scale highly.Customer Review: good for dieting

Since I like to weigh myself daily and see my progress on my diet, this is great. I was a little hesitant about having some sort of electrical pulse sent through me to check my body fat, but it can't be felt and I only do that about twice a month anyway. I probably get more exposure using my cell phone and standing near my microwave. I wonder if all this adds to cumulative exposure like radiation???hmmmmm. I think I'll google that. Anyways, the scale looks great, very high tech, and does exactly as advertised and has helped me stay on my diet. So you have to ask yourself...what's worse for your health a little battery electrical charge or staying overweight and getting diabetes, heart disease, osteoarthritis, no love life, etc.Customer Review: Great Scale, Great Price

This is a review for the HBF-400 model. I had been looking for a scale for a while. Amazon's price was unbeatable compared to scales I had been looking at in retail stores, including Bed Bath and Beyond and Target. (I bought from Amazon.com, not the other seller, because of Amazon's reputation. The site said it wouldn't ship for several weeks, but as I suspected the product shipped much sooner than estimated.) The scale provides a BMI read-out based on your height (manually entered) and weight, and also a body fat percentage estimate based on analysis of how a small electrical current travels through your body. Everything I wanted. Works great. Unlike other reviewers, I suspect I do have as high of a body fat percentage as it says!Customer Review: Body fat % indicator does not work

I work out 5-6 days a week, alternating weight training with cardio and would be considered "athletic." Got curious about body fat % and bought this scale and was astounded by the high body fat reading it gave me. Decided to buy 4-5 other measurement instruments (manual calipersAccumeasure Fitness 2000 Body Fat Caliper with Fat % Chart, electronic caliperAccu-Measure Fat Trac II Digital Skinfold Caliper, handheldOmron HBF-306C Fat Loss Monitor, etc...) They all measured body weight within 1-2% of each other, and all measured roughly half the % of this scale. It's a good scale, but don't buy it if you're looking for body fat % accuracy.Customer Review: Sensitive to timing/posture. Good product overall.

As is written in the manual, the fat percentage result seems to be sensitive to the timing of the measurement and the posture. The body fat percentages changes during a day. Particularly just after taking any kind of water or food, the result gets inaccurate. In my case, the result from this monitor is no different from the results from a couple of other machines in the health/sports club I have been using since a few years ago. At least you will be able to monitor the changes of your body if you consistently use the machine at the same time in a day.
Otherwise, this is easy to set-up and use. I use its memory function a lot to monitor the changes of my body at home regularly. Highly recommended.
