My wife and I both use this monitor and we agree that, judging by our different blood pressure readings, it appears to be quite accurate. The results are consistent if one of us takes more then one reading at a time, but will vary greatly if we trade it back and forth.
It is also very easy to use. Because it's a wrist monitor there is no need to roll your shirt sleeve all the way up your arm or take your shirt off.
The positioning sensor is very helpful in getting your arm to the right height on your body.
The readout is large and easy to read and it takes less then 25 seconds to get a reading.
One bad thing, you can't clear just one reading from the memory, it's all of the readings or nothing.

So far this Omron monitor is working out very well for me. It is easy to wrap around the wrist and appears to give reliable readings. The results are easy to read on the display and a memory "saves" them, which may make consultations with the doctor easier.
The only inconvenience is that once in a while it is difficult to start a reading because either the device or my wrist is positioned the wrong way. Omron would say that this is an advantage in that the machine will not allow a false reading, and from a safety perspective that is probably more important than being 100% convenient.
Overall I am very pleased with this deevice and I know I will value it even more when I travel with it in its compact carrying case.

I ordered this monitor after my doctor announced I've got high blood pressure. The wrist-type is very convenient, can be used while wearing a sweatshirt. I like the automatic positioning feature, and believe this helps insure against false readings. Before believing all the Amazon reviews, I called pharmacists at two local drugstores and asked which brand of blood pressure monitor is the best: both promptly replied "Omron". My wrist monitor with APS has proven that beyond doubt, it is a great value at Amazon's price and batteries last much longer than I expected. This product is a piece of junk. It does indeed have a Advanced Position Sensor and an audible indication. The advanced position indication requires the device to be in the proper position and indicates when it is by beeping. The beep is so low as to be almost impossible to hear . . . no matter if you have perfect hearing . . . you will not hear the beep. If the battery is just the slight bit low it fails to work and the battery indicator does not indicate the low level below which the device fails to work. Forget about using it on your right arm, you can not hear the device when it is in the proper location and you can not see the face of the device when on the right arm. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!! I got this because after my thyroid thing my BP was still high at the doctors office like 155/100 and I'm only 24 with meat on my bones (197lbs)but not obese or anything.
Well, I was debating on going on some stupid BP meds my pill pushing doc prescribed, but I wanted to see if my BP would go down on it's own once my hormones balanced out with the goiter gone. Fortunately it did, and I'm pretty sure it's accurate because my BP was measuring high like it was in the doc's office, but overtime through relaxation and as symptoms got better it got down to the 130's/80's, and at times even 120's/80's.
Plus, whenever I drink when the blood sugar drops this thing also registers my BP as low as 90's/50's.
