Customer Reviews of Omron HEM-670IT Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor with APS (Advanced Positioning Sensor) and Advanced Omron Health Management SoftwareCustomer Review: Very POOR documentation & It's like waiting for te Space Shuttle to take off Summary: 3 Stars
I bought this hoping to get fast reading since most arm units are designed for a doctor or nurse to use. Don't know why anyone can't design a full arm unit for single person use. Don't hold your breath using this one. You will turn blue before this thing allows it to work. All systems have to be perfect or this dumb thing does nothing. I am returning it because the VA is providing me in home tele-monitoring and I don't want to wait all day for this thing to decide to give me my blood pressure.
The worst feature is the lame thick book of instructions that just keep repeating everything until it drives you crazy. It is written for a five year old or maybe was written by a five year old. Really stupid in either case. It's over designed and overpriced.
Customer Review: Easy and Dependable! Summary: 5 Stars
I am in love with this blood pressure monitor! It is easy to use and very accurate. The Advanced Positioning Sensor makes it even easier to recieve a proper reading. Since I have health problems including hypotension and need to check my blood pressure on a regular basis, it keeps a reading of all your measurements. When I am unable to use it myself or passed out due to decrease in bp, my father uses it to take my readings and relay it to the doctor when I have an emergency. He isn't quite saavy in using modern technology but this is very easy for him. It even includes software that you can use to print out your readings and bring to your doctor appointments which makes it a lot easier for you and your doctors in finding a treatment.
Customer Review: Convenient Summary: 5 Stars
The Omron HEM-670 is convenient to use, store, carry, transmit readings to computer, edit.
However, I plan on comparing it to the doctor's blood pressure equipment's reading at my next check up. My Omron HEM-670 always gives me a read out of lower than 120/80. Typically it reads approximately 113/73.
I agree, some days I might have low blood pressure, like today I was EXHAUSTED so I checked my blood pressure in case low blood pressure was the culprit. Omron HEM-670 read: 96/58. Nothing to be afraid of. It would have to be 90/60 to be borderline low. I'm still healthy.
I always wonder if my Omron HEM-670 is reading maybe even a tiny bit low. I wonder why I can't reach 120/80.
Customer Review: Omron BP Monitor Summary: 5 Stars
I ordered the Omron HEM-670IT Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor with the APS. I was in need of a new cuff and this one offered so much more of what I needed to closely monitor my blood pressures at home. I love the software too. Now, I no longer have to write down each reading for my doctor to analyze, I can plug in to my computer and it will get the information for me and put it on a spreadsheet for my doctor. Now, if he only had email. Hahaha. I used to have an older version of this product with fewer option of course. I had that one for 7 years and it finally had it. It was the cuff itself that wore out, not the machine. Plus, I was able to buy this new model for about what I paid for my old one all those years ago.
Customer Review: Possibly accurate if used correctly Summary: 4 Stars
It is almost hard to figure out whether these wrist monitors are accurate. They vary so much from min to min that it makes one wonder.
But I have compared this at the same instant with manual devices that are calibrated and seems like these are quite accurate if used properly. You have to hold your wrist close to the chest and NOT TALK at all. Keep you feet on the ground and be as steady as you can. Only then do they produce numbers that don't vary as much and are accurate.
Note - this works for me but fails for my father who is close to 70. I would only recommend this device if you are below 50 years of age. For some reason, the device fails to sense heart beats in older people too well.
