Customer Reviews of Omron HEM-711AC Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor with Standard CuffCustomer Review: Very Accurate and Easy to Use Summary: 5 Stars
This is an excellent product. I read many reviews and looked at a lot of these monitors. When I recieved it, I was impressed with the high quality of the materials. It looks like what you would see in a doctor's office. It is heavy and solid. It comes with a carrying case so you can take it with you.
It is very easy to use. Put the adjustable strap on your arm, push one button, and away you go. The readings are quite accurate. I have taken this to the doctor's office twice to test against their monitor. The readings were exactly the same. It allows you to take several measurements and average them, which is quite helpful. It has an "irregular heartbeat" indicator that gives peace of mind when it doesn't indicate! It also keeps measurements in memory but I don't use that because I keep a separate log on my home computer.
Lastly, it works by battery or with the plug-in adaptor. I have used both and the battery life is quite good.
I would highly recommend this monitor to anyone.
Customer Review: Handy Home Blood Pressure Monitor - Recommended Summary: 4 Stars
This is a convenient little gadget that works well and easy to use. We picked up the Omron HEM-711AC Blood Pressure Monitor at a local "big box" for somewhat more than it usually goes for here on Amazon. Being on meds that raise my blood pressure requires me to keep an eye on levels twice a day and I have been very pleased with this device. Here are my observations:
Pros -
+ Easy to Use, setup took less than 5 minutes and the instructions were easy to follow
+ Accurate, readings are very close to what I get at the doctor's office
+ Convenient, relatively small size and ability to power with 4 "AA" batteries or the included power supply makes this travel friendly
+ Features, includes pulse rate and has memory function
Cons -
- Cuff Size, the included 13" cuff is too small for some members of my household
Overall this device works exactly as I had hoped it would, and perhaps even a little bit better than expected.
Recommended!

Customer Review: One of the best Summary: 5 Stars
I have had 3 blood pressure cuffs. This one is the best. It stores measurements including pulse. Wrist cuffs are a waste of money and can give you inaccurate information. Bicep cuffs are the best. Omron has a very good reputation among health professionals. A word of caution, you need to use the cuff properly and to always use it the same way. It is also important to take several measurements (2 a day) when you are measuring trends. And you need to average the results for 4-5 days. If you do this you can manage your blood pressure through a combination of drugs, exercise and diet. A good set of records will allow you to measure your progress. For example, if you want to know the benefit of an exercise program (benefit in reducing BP) you can measure this. The same is true of low sodium diet. This cuff is very good and with the AC adapter you can make many meausrements and depend on the consistency of the measurement if not the accuracy. Consistency is important. Good luck.
Customer Review: Works great! Summary: 5 Stars
This monitor is much more accurate than my old "pump" type Omron - spot on with the doctors office every time so I know I can trust it at home. Standard cuff fits my arms just right (I'm 5'2" and 128 lbs at 49 years old - just saying since this is something I wished was in more reviews to help me know what size cuff to buy). I've had no problems at all with error readings - I suspect those that have maybe had the cuff on wrong (or wrong size cuff) or moved during the process - you do need to sit still so be in a comfortable position before hitting start. Love the memory feature and irregular heartbeat function. Blood pressure readings almost always vary from reading to reading, even at doctors office, so you have to realize that is normal and not any fault of the machine. Take a few minutes to relax after setting up before hitting start to get most accurate reading. Don't cross legs and breath normally. Unless you got the occasional "lemon", this BP monitor works great!
Customer Review: Good deal for the price Summary: 5 Stars
I recently bought this cuff because I'd been asked to monitor my B/P by my doctor. My brother had done some research and this one came recommended, so he bought one. I tried it, and it was easy to use and had good instructions. If the cuff was another inch longer it would be perfect for most men. I bring it to work to take my pressure around lunch time, and other coworkers have tried it. It is borderline for most of the males, and for me it just fits, but I'm only 170-175 lbs. The 200 pounders are right on the edge of it working for them. They hold it shut so the velcro doesn't let go. If you are over 200 lbs., get the larger cuff. I went to the discount department store chains and the model below this one w/out an electric cord was $10 more and this unit was $20-30 more, so it was worth going online to buy it. I also brought it to my Drs. office when I went, to see if it was calibrated correctly and it was very close to what they got.
