This simple, slick device is a lifesaver. It's easier to use than those automatic machines in the drugstores.
There is really only one button to push to get a reading after you put on the easy velcro cuff. It inflates and deflates painlessly and quickly by itself. The best feature is the record of the last 50(?) readings of Systolic, Dystolic, Pulse, Date, and time. There is also a one button recall of the average of your last three measurements. Nice.
The display is very large and easy to read with Systolic/Dystolic/Pulse/Date/Time clearly shown. The beating heart/pulse display is a neat touch.
It's small enough to fit in among my computer stuff in my home office at my desk so it's a snap to use.

My mother has high blood pressure and her doctor wanted her to have a home monitor. We got this model and it seemed to be too high most of the time. I brought it with us the next time she saw her hypertension specialist. He made six measurements with his equipment and six with the Omron and it was WILDLY inaccurate, reading 30-40 points too high each time. The doctor told my mother never to use it again. When we called Omron, we were told to send it back (at our expense) and they would look at it and send it back (also at our expense). Since we had done this once already and it still didn't work, we're just going to toss it away. So much for their warranty. Omron used to be a good name, but it seems they are now making shoddy equipment.Customer Review: Good accuracy, nice unit for decent price

This unit is very easy to use and set up for the basics- monitoring your blood pressure.
It comes with a nice zip case and easy instructions. I had no problems getting it to work properly,
and it appears to be very accurate. I take my pressure twice a day, and am very happy with this unit.
Dont be surprised if you get an occasional reading that seems way to high or low- it could be a variety of factors, including when you do the test, how anxious you are, etc.
Read the directions, put on the cuff and press the button. I take my readings and put the results into an Excel spreadsheet, and made a graph to give my Doctor. He really liked having the info right there.
Great unit for an affordable price.

I bought this blood pressure monitor to replace the inaccurate wrist monitor that I bought at Rite Aid after reading that this was one of the top-rated ones by Consumer Reports.
I haven't been able to check my blood pressure yet as the pediatric cuff they sent was sized for a child. It works fine on the arm of my six year old grandson. I am an average size person with average size arms, but there was no way I could use the pediatric cuff.
I wish they had sent something larger than the pediatric cuff.
I had to order the adult-size cuff for an additional $27.
I gave it only four stars because of the wrong pediatric cuff. Shipping was very fast, and I am a happy camper otherwise.

I am a former registered nurse who has taken hundreds of blood pressure readings on others over the years with a manual blood pressure meter. Now that my doctor wants me to keep closer track of my own blood pressure I needed to find an automatic meter that I can quickly use at different times of the day. He recommended that I purchase an Omron brand meter. Like any new gadget, this one took me a few tries to feel comfortable with it but after that I found it very easy to use with very little thought or effort. The readings seem to be consistent from day to day although I haven't yet been able to check them against manual readings taken at the same time. So far, I've been extremely pleased with my new blood pressure meter.
